RuPaul's Drag Race season 17 episode 15 aired on April 11, 2025, on MTV and saw 10 queens returning who were previously eliminated throughout the season. They were to compete on a lip sync SmackDown, and it was decided that the winner would get $50,000.

Given that the season is already towards its end, the top 4 queens are already decided. They are Jewels Sparkles, Lexi Love, Onya Nurve, and Sam Star.

As for the queens who came back for the lip sync, they were: Lucky Starzzz, Joella, Acacia Forgot, Hormona Lisa, Kori King, Lydia B Kollins, Suzie Toot, Arrietty, Lana Ja'Rae.

The format for the Lalaparuza smackdown was simple. There were to be three rounds. The first one will see the queens go against each other in a single-elimination method. This sent 5 queens back home for the second time.

The next round grouped two and three queens for a lip sync battle. The two queens who would emerge victorious from these two battles will go against each other in a showdown. The judges include RuPaul herself, along with Michelle Visage and Ts Madison.

RuPaul's Drag Race season 17 episode 15 Recap - The Lalaparuza Smackdown

Arietty and Onya have a beef from the time they were competing on RuPaul's Drag Race. During her elimination, Arietty had left a cryptic message on Onya's mirror. However, they were given a chance to meet again, and this was when Arietty pulled her co-star aside.

Having claimed earlier that she was in her angelic era now, Arietty apologized to Onya for her behaviour and said that it was not acceptable. Onya accepted the apology and felt like Arietty had reflected on her mistakes and grown from them.

How many people can say that they got to make their relationship official on national TV and that too on the iconic RuPaul's Drag Race? Well, Kori and Lydia can. They revealed spending more time with each other outside of the competition, which brought them closer to each other.

Their kiss scene also went viral during the season. Kori, while she was away, was making her online presence more established on social media platforms. However, now that she has one chance again, the queen said she wanted to redeem herself for the scissors mishap that happened and win the Lalaparuza round.

The first RuPaul's Drag Race round started where Hormona was first, and she chose Lydia to go against, as the latter won. They lip-synced to on Say Liza (Liza with a Z) by Liza Minelli.

Between Suzie and Joella, Suzie won in their lip sync battle in Training Season by Dua Lipa. Then Lucky won over Acacia, Kori won over Arietty, and Lana secured her second win against Crystal.

In the second round, Suzie and Lucky were pitted against each other, as the former won. Kori, Lydia, and Lana were in the same group, up for the lip sync, won by Kori.

The final battle was Suzie against Kori. They were to lip sync to APT by Bruno Mars and Rosé. The consolation prize went to Suzie, whose performance embodied a school cheerleader, and the outfit represented just that. Kori also managed to add a flair to her performance, but the judges decided for Suzie.

The next episode of RuPaul's Drag Race will crown the 'America's Next Drag Superstar.'

RuPaul's Drag Race episodes drop on MTV weekly on Fridays at 8 PM Eastern Time. Later, they can be streamed online via Paramount Plus.
