Running Point cast and character guide: Who plays whom in Netflix's upcoming sports comedy show?

Mindy Kaling is back with another comedy, Running Point, for Netflix, centered around Basketball. The creator of hit comedies like The Office, Never Have I Ever and The Sex Lives Of College Girls brings a brand new basketball comedy starring Kate Hudson.

Running Point was announced many years before, but Kaling recently took to her Instagram to share that the series will be released on Netflix on February 27, 2025.

The official synopsis for the show reads as follows:

''When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business. Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job.''
