Rock the Block season 6 dropped its newest episode on April 14, 2025. The HGTV series features a renovation competition among four teams, who are given four houses on a block.
The producers gave them a budget within which they had to work and renovate the house from scratch. The one who sells this designed house for the highest value wins the season.
Returning this season as a host is Ty Pennington, who is a design expert and will guide the renovation designers through their tasks and challenges. The winner of the season gets to name the brand new street in their honor.
As for the teams, there are two veterans and two newcomers. The first one is Alison Victoria and Michel Smith Boyd. Then the second team consists of Jonathan Knight and Jordan Knight, a brother-brother duo.
Joining the renovation reality show for the first time is the team of Chelsea and Cole DeBoer, and Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama. The designers are asked to renovate the homes in their signature styles and are judged based on the same.
Rock the Block season 6 filming locations
Rock the Block season 6 will enter a whole new city for this installment. Previously, viewers have seen the designers work in states like California, South Carolina, Georgia, Colorado, and Florida. With the sixth season, Ty Pennington will host in Utah, just outside of Salt Lake City.
The place is called Grantville, and as is evident from the mountain scenery in the poster for season 6, the audience will get to enjoy a beautiful backdrop for the entirety of the episodes. This town has a population of about 15,000 people that grows at a steady rate.
Due to this growth, the Hamlet Homes Worthington Ranch Community decided to expand the scope of living for the growing population with a newly developed community housing project.
The four homes that will be featured on the show are located within the same neighborhood. The area has mountain view properties, and it will be interesting to see how well the designers fare while working with each of them.
Rock the Block season 6 Details
Rock the Block season 6 will provide $250,000 to each of the interior design teams to carry out their renovations. They will have 6 weeks to complete the same. HGTV explains,
"Each team will have just six weeks and a budget of $250,000 to renovate identical modern properties that boast mountain views, soaring interior spaces, and the largest backyards in series history, transforming them with their signature visions and personalized design styles. The team that clinches the highest appraised value for their home will claim coveted Rock the Block bragging rights and a street named in their honor."
Each week, the teams will be required to renovate a specific area of the house. In the first episode, we saw the team planning and working on the home's kitchen, dining, and living areas.
