The sixth episode of Rhythm + Flow Season 2 featured Eminem revealing the battle result between Detroit Diamond and Dono.
"I feel like both of y'all could be superstars. I really do."
After much consideration, the Rhythm + Flow Season 2 judges chose Diamond to move forward while Dono went home. Seeing Dono getting emotional, the judges encouraged her to continue rapping while Eminem went to hug her and told her not to let this battle "define" her.
The final seven contestants moving forward in the competition were Jay Taj, DreTL, Bunduke, Tia P, Jaxs, Sura Ali, and Detroit Diamond. They discussed how the battles between their fellow contenders were quite intense and felt "sad."
At Atlanta, Rhythm + Flow Season 2 judges Ludacris, Khaled, and Latto met to thank the latter for handling the battles.
"You know, I had to let some of our faves go," shared Latto.
After DJ Khaled insisted, she summarized the battles among the 14 contestants featured in the fifth episode of Rhythm + Flow Season 2. Ludacris then mentioned that the seven contestants who moved forward were working with the producers at the studio. They have been working on their "singles."
"Debut Singles Day" - Rhythm + Flow Season 2 Episode 6: Details explored
Ludacris mentioned that they will have to "eliminate two people" after they introduce their first-ever single. After the judges, Latto, Ludacris, and DJ Khaled arrived on stage, Ludacris mentioned a "surprise." They invited a special guest for the episode, GloRilla.
Latto mentioned about GloRilla's debut single,
"I think it's dope that we got Glo here for the debut singles too, 'cause Glo had a hell of a debut. Took over the summer."
Detroit Diamond was the first to present her debut single, "Pressure," which she worked on with her producer, Brizzy On Da Beat.
"I'm gonna be 100% honest with you. I really couldn't hear your lyrics, like ...I don't know if it's because of how fast you was rapping or what, but I wasn't going off that, just going off your beat and energy," shared GloRilla
The rest of the judges also praised her performance, while DJ Khaled took a picture with Detroit Diamond after he shared that her debut single was "Fire."
Next was DreTL, whose producer was Squeeze. He performed his debut single, "High Definition." Judges praised his performance, and Latto shared constructive critiques of his energy and performance.
Yoshi Vintage was next. She performed "Barely Made It," which she prepared with her producer, Tasha Catour. Judges appreciated her performance, especially her artwork, which featured flowers and captivated everyone's eyes.
"You just took me on a roller coaster ride because what I expected and what just happened is, it just ...It threw me for a loop, which is a good thing. It started off kind of slow, you know, I mean, laid back. And you took that s***to a whole other level," shared Ludacris.
DJ Khaled shared that her performance and the song "felt passionate." He mentioned that she should have kept the song going in a similar beat to the song's first half rather than picking up the speed. He also mentioned how the performances before her, Diamond Detroit and DreTL, delivered "some s***."
Listening to DJ Khaled's remarks while going backstage, Yoshi told the cameras to stay away.
"Don't put that fucking camera in my face. I'mma smack the shit out of somebody. Man, don't talk to me. I don't want to talk to no f****** body."
She told fellow Rhythm + Flow Season 2 contestants she was "done" and "going home." The sixth episode ended on an intense note, with Yoshi still telling the cameras to stay at a distance because she was not "playing."
