In an Instagram clip posted to Lori's official account on February 12, 2025, the Shark Tank investor talked about the benefits of having her own business. She also pointed out the challenges and hard work that have to be put into becoming successful.

Lori stated the misconception the majority has regarding being your own boss; she said:

"People think being your own boss, owning your own business is all great things and all good things, and it is. There are great things about it, but there are hard things too. There are creating things people never think about, like the fact that it's a really 24/7 job."

In the short clip, the Shark Tank investor Lori discussed the role of being an entrepreneur and running a business. She said that regardless of being on vacation or having an off day on a weekend, the owner's responsibility is to show up for their business.

Greiner reflected on the challenges faced by business owners and stated that it is not possible for them to just hire people to do their work for them. Instead, being present to resolve matters and fix issues is one of the main tasks of an entrepreneur. She explained:

"You have to be there all the time even if you take a vacation; you have to check in; you have to do whatever it takes. It's not like you just hire people to do things for you. it's your business and when the chips are down or something happens, you are at the helm and you've got to make sure you are there and that you fix things, it's a lot of fun, and you reap a lot of rewards."

Lori was sure of starting her own business and being her own boss. When discussing the responsibility of being in this position, the Shark Tank investor stated that it requires the ability to be self-sufficient while also being extremely hardworking. Lori mentioned that there are many benefits to reap from having your own business, but what most people are not aware of are behind-the-scenes struggles and working 24/7.

Lori continued:

"I always knew I wanted to be my own boss, have my own business because I'm very independent, and I like to do my own thing, and I like to be my own boss and be creative, but at the same time, you've got to be a really hard worker."

She also shared a piece of advice for new business owners, reminding them that being a dedicated individual is important for their business to succeed. She said:

"And you have to be willing to put in that work. Just don't go, Oh, it's five o'clock, and I'm done, or It's the weekend, and I'm off. It doesn't work that way."
