Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kelli Ferrell and Chuvalo Mark Ferrell went through a long divorce process
The Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kelli and Chuvalo decided to part ways and officially separate in 2022. Back in June 2022, Chuvalo addressed their separation rumors, confirming that the couple had decided to go on their separate paths, but this decision was made in 2021, according to Chuvalo.
Going through a public divorce and legal battle was a tough time for The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kelli, as viewers noticed the messy process closely. Kelli wanted custody of the children along with child support and attorney fees. However, Chuvalo's wish was to have joint custody, and he wasn't willing to provide child support due to both of their already established streams of income.
Later in 2023, they both reached a common ground after Kelli received physical custody, but Chuvalo still had custody of the children as well and was paying the amount for child support. Additionally, Chuvalo was required to return $420,000 to Kelli in their legal battle over their restaurant, house, and businesses.
Then, in January 2024, it was revealed that Chuvalo hadn't paid child support and was even taken into custody. Despite the messy divorce and custody battle, they both want to focus on their family and children. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kelli took to her official Instagram account in September, announcing her divorce. Her post said:
"Today is my final day as Mrs. Kelli Ferrell. You were a wife, mother, bonus-mother, friend, lover, and business partner for 11 years."
It continued:
"You went through the ups and downs. You encountered some of the best years of your life, and yet some of the most traumatizing memories. However, I must say, you handled it ALL so gracefully. You never broke; you never folded. To the world, it looked so easy, but your family and true friends saw you at your lowest points in life."
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is available to stream every week on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo and is available to stream the next day on Peacock.
