Reacher Season 3 has been an explosive one till now. Though it had a slow start, the show is now shaping up to be pretty intense with action finally taking up the center stage.
In the latest episode, our hero has been unmasked. His cover is blown and he is now on the run. But is Reacher ever truly on the run? Along with Duffy, he goes looking for Teresa, despite Quinn's men searching for Reacher to settle the score.
Thankfully, Quinn's amnesia was not a lie. He doesn't recognize Reacher for real. If he had, he would have gone ballistic when they finally met in person at the beginning of Episode 6. But then again, with a show like Reacher, nothing is ever as it seems.
The show has a habit of dropping subtle hints that seem pretty irrelevant at that point but prove to be a huge one later on. A dialogue from Episode 5 proves this.

Reacher Season 3 Episode 5: Harley's dialogue
In Episode 5, the biggest reveal was that Annette, the French maid at Beck's house, was actually an ATF agent. She was undercover just like Reacher. When her phone was discovered by Beck's men, her true identity was revealed. She was gathering information on Beck's operation. When this became known, Paulie killed her.
When all of this was going down, Reacher was out dealing with Richard's bodyguard, Cooper, who had killed Agent Eliot and escaped. When he got back to the house, he was surprised to know everything. He even got slapped across the face, which made him drop to the floor, when he tried to land a punch on Paulie for not keeping the maid alive for interrogation.
Then we see Reacher and Harley go to dispose of Annette's body. That's when Harley says:
"This whole thing really screwed up my plans, you know? I got me a boat down in Port Rome that I'm fixing up, The Sweet Marie. I was gonna do a little fishing on Saturday. Now that Angel Doll's dead, I'm gonna have to write new want ads for new maids and upload it to all the job sites. Barely know how to do that sh*t. I'm not Steve Jobs."
Though this seems like Harley randomly yapping, it's actually not and we realize that in Episode 6. Unbeknownst to him, he had just revealed crucial information that's going to help Reacher soon.
The clue comes in handy for Reacher in Episode 6
When Reacher finally meets Quinn in person, he notices a dress being brought in. We come to know that the dress is for Teresa and that Quinn is making her wear it for one of his clients.
When Duffy goes to the atelier to find out about the dress from its maker, she returns with a phone number that called in for the dress. They hope to find Teresa by tracking that number.
On looking through the call log, they find out that most of the calls from that number was from Port Rome. Hearing the name of the place, Reacher realizes where Teresa might be. He says:
"I know exactly where to look. Port Rome will have boat owners. That was Harley's number. Teresa's on the Sweet Marie."
Then Reacher and Duffy set out for Port Rome to look for Teresa in the Sweet Marie, where Harley breathes his last.
So, this is how even the smallest details matter in the show. If Harley had not yapped about his weekend getting ruined because of extra work, Reacher would not have known where to look for Teresa.
There are also other such instances in the show where the tiniest details have meant something or the other. This attention to detail is what makes Reacher an interesting watch.
As the season progresses, it is worth paying attention to every conversation because even the most casual ones can hold the key to something much bigger.
