Reacher Season 3: Release date, plot, cast and more about the upcoming installment of the Alan Ritchson show on Prime Video

Reacher Season 3 was announced even before Season 2 premiered on December 15, 2023. Now, fans can rejoice as season 3 is set to hit your TV screens on February 20, 2025. Alan Ritchson, who plays the titular character and also executive produces the show, had said on The Tonight Show in February 2024 that Reacher Season 3 was:

“nearing completion.”

The third season of Reacher will feature 8 episodes and will be based on the book Persuader, the seventh book of the Reacher series by Lee Child.

Reacher Season 3 Release Date

Reacher Season 3 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 20, 2025. The streamer announced that the first three episodes of the third season will drop together while the remaining five will be released in a weekly pattern, with new episodes dropping every Thursday. This means that the final episode of Reacher Season 3 will air on March 27, 2025.

The first teaser trailer for Reacher Season 3 revealed a lot about the storyline and introduced one of Reacher’s old enemies, Paulie. Fans can expect a lot of action this season as well, following the signature style of the last two seasons.

What will Reacher Season 3 be about?

Reacher Season 3 is based on Persuader in which:

"Reacher must go undercover to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past."

The official logline for this season goes like:

"Reacher hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds a world of secrecy and violence — and confronts some unfinished business from his own past."

While Reacher has been following the books for the most part, this season will not be completely faithful to its source material as Stern’s Frances Neagley is returning. Despite not being a part of Persuader, Reacher’s confidant and partner throughout two seasons will be seen in this season as well.
