Jack Reacher shows up in Abbottsville, Maine, to sell his vinyl records. However, he finds himself involved in a kidnapping. Reacher saves a boy named Richard Beck, whose father, Zachary Beck, is a wealthy rug importer

Turns out the kidnapper isn't anyone but Richard's bodyguard.

To that, Reacher quipped:

"Tell your dad to hire a better one next time."

But Reacher quickly suspects there’s more to Zachary’s business than meets the eye.

Reacher takes Richard home to the Beck estate, where he meets Zachary’s security team, including Paulie, a tough and intimidating guard.

In one of the scenes when Richard was painting, Reacher asked him if he draws everything that he sees outside the window. In return, Richard asks him what would he draw if he could. Reacher just replies:

"I don't know. Dogs, maybe."

Zachary, aware of Reacher’s military background, challenges him to a dangerous game of Russian Roulette. However, Reacher uses his smarts to win without any harm.

Earlier, Reacher had been working with federal agent Susan Duffy to investigate Zachary, who is suspected of illegal activities. Duffy shares that an informant named Teresa Daniels, who worked at Zachary’s warehouse, has disappeared.

To get inside the Beck estate, Reacher and Duffy stage a fake kidnapping. They also reveal that a cop Reacher shot earlier was an undercover officer and part of their plan.

While at the estate, Reacher finds a hidden cellar, hinting at deeper secrets. Meanwhile, Duffy tries to question a security guard, but he refuses to cooperate. Reacher’s mission is just getting started.

Now undercover at the Beck estate, Reacher overhears conversations between Zachary and his head of security, Duke, and sneaks away to avoid being seen. He’s assigned to help Beck’s men investigate the truck involved in Richard’s kidnapping.

Reacher warns Duffy to remove Richard’s car from the police yard to avoid giving away their plan. While at the yard with Beck’s informant, they find both the truck and Richard’s car. Reacher convinces the informant that it’s just a coincidence.

Later, Reacher goes head-to-head with Paulie in an arm-wrestling match by saying,

"I am going to grab your fist and try to pull it down."

To which Paulie sneered,

"Easy man."

Reacher shows his strength and intelligence, further earning the trust of Zachary’s crew. Reacher is then sent on a delivery run, which he suspects is a test of his loyalty.

During this time, Reacher reaches out to Neagley, an ally, for help but warns her to stay away because of the danger looming ahead.

Back at the warehouse, Beck’s informant accuses Reacher of working with the police. To keep his cover intact, Reacher kills the informant and hides the body. He then leaves with Duke, still maintaining his undercover role despite the rising danger.

Reacher’s cover is still intact as Zachary Beck questions him about the truck used in Richard’s kidnapping. Reacher plants seeds of doubt in Beck’s mind, making him question his enemies instead of Reacher.

Meanwhile, Neagley investigates Paulie, Duke, and the informant Angel Doll, discovering they all had past connections to law enforcement. Reacher and Duffy checked the Bizarre Bazaar warehouse but did not find Teresa Daniels, the missing informant. However, they hide Angel Doll’s body to protect their cover.

Reacher also learns more about Julius McCabe, Beck’s boss, who seems to be controlling Beck’s every move. During a shopping trip with Richard, Reacher earns his trust and discovers that McCabe is the mastermind behind Richard’s kidnapping.

Later, Reacher joins Beck and Duke in a raid of a house where the kidnappers are believed to be hiding. To protect his cover, Reacher kills Duke and fakes a shootout. His quick thinking wins him even more trust from Zachary. By the end of the episode, Reacher is named the new head of security, successfully infiltrating Beck’s inner circle.

The first three episodes of Reacher Season 3 set the stage for an intense undercover mission. With more dangers lurking, Reacher’s new journey is just beginning.
