Another mid-week Reacher Season 3 episode, titled Smoke On The Water, has premiered today, and the 45 minute-long sixth chapter just ran in the blink of an eye — one must feel it has a lot of information to process in a short time. However, that classic Neagley sequence (she being her usual calm and careful self) was the moment of the episode, and how easily she handled two armed men in an empty building floor was quite commendable.
Reacher Season 3 Episode 6 starts with Reacher and Zachary Beck standing face-to-face with Xavier Quinn at the Bizarre Bazaar warehouse. To much relief, Quinn is not able to identify Reacher. He appears quite annoyed at Zachary's mistakes, although he seems pleased with how Reacher has been handling things for them (the entire Angel Doll incident).
But the initial minutes of the sixth episode come with a shock. Reacher's cover is blown to Richard Beck (due to a mistake on Duffy's part), as they two go to town and Reacher plans to meet his federal associate Susan Duffy. We also learn that the Russians are pressing Quinn because of an old deal.
As he digs up further on who has been running background checks on his operations, Reacher's name and the 110th SIU eventually come up. Does the titular hero make it out in one piece from Quinn's dirty business operations? Read this piece to know more about the latest Reacher episode.

Quinn is involved in international deals with Russian mobsters and trouble is tailing him
As seen on Reacher Season 3 Episode 6, Quinn's business deals are not limited to the United States, and his past involvements reveal that a group of Russians have some beef with him. To be precise, he owes them money in large numbers and that is why he needs the big gun deal to happen smoothly.
Its revealed early in Episode 6 that a Russian mobster named Taktarov appears at Quinn's den and they have an intense face-off. For the time being, Quinn is able to get him off his radar by paying him a portion of the amount he owes him and says:
"There won't be any more delays. You'll get your money, don't worry."
Danger, however, is not over yet, and with pressure increasing from the Russians, Quinn gets desperate to make his big deal work. However, things go sideways and he eventually learns that people from the army and other investigating units are tailing him — quite the catalyst to make a ruthless villain like him go insane.
Reacher blows his cover early in Episode 6
Reacher and Richard Beck decide to go to town and, in the meanwhile, the former plans a rendezvous with Agent Susan Duffy to discuss their undercover operations. However, Susan makes a small mistake and brings Villanueva with her.
Reacher and Duffy talk about Teresa and the tailor who made the green dress for her (apparently she is being kept under Quinn's direct supervision, and is also a part of the deal where she'll be handed over to the buyers). They try to find ways to reach the number left by Quinn's men to the tailor when they came in to buy the dress.
Things get heated up as Reacher engages in an intense conversation with Duffy about their operation, and they eventually share an awkward kiss. Right at that moment, Villanueva appears at the scene and, coincidentally, Richard also walks into the same alley.
He easily recognizes Villanueva and remembers that Reacher had killed him way back during his kidnapping. Thus, Reacher's cover is blown and he ends up telling everything about the operation to Richard. However, he makes sure that the kid will not spill the beans and tells him that his operation is mostly related to exposing Quinn's criminal involvements.
Quinn digs up about anyone who tried to track him and that almost gets Neagley killed
Quinn get suspicious after the recent developments and tries to get rid of anyone who stands in his way. He eventually tracks down the army officer in the 110th (living in Rock Creek, Virginia), who ran down the plates of Quinn's cars, and sends his men to get information out on him.
He even learns about Neagley's involvements (who tried to dig up dirt on names like Angel Doll and Paulie upon Reacher's instructions), and orders his gunmen to get her killed. Luckily, Neagley (who was in Chicago, Illinois then) is able to save herself from the ambush — all thanks to her army skills.
Quinn presses Zachary and eventually learns that Reacher is connected to the 110th
Quinn uses his contacts in D.C. to know about who has been tailing his operations and the 110th Special Investigation Unit comes up eventually. He lands in shock when he learns from Beck that Reacher was also from the same unit.
Quinn immediately orders Paulie and his mean to find Reacher and kill him. Reacher manages to escape his room using the window and runs down to the garage to break into a car.
As we witness in Reacher Season 3 Episode 6, Reacher narrowly escapes with one of Beck's car as Quinn and his men rain bullets on him. He almost dies and makes it to the woods, where a face-off takes place with armed men. Reacher lures them into the dark and uses his covert operational skills to butcher them one by one — classic Reacher moves that we see after quite some time.
As he escapes and makes it to a laudry shop in town in one piece, Paulie and Quinn hold Zachary and his son hostage. Quinn makes Richard play Russian roulette but he luckily survives. Zachary further promises his loyalty to Quinn's operation and offers him anything he wants to take.
The episode ends with another cliffhanger as Reacher, Susan, and Villanueva get a lead on Teresa's potential location. Reacher and Susan make their way to Sweet Marie where they find an isolated boat in the water.
On going inside, they come across clothes, chains and drugs — all the signs that confirm that Teresa was being held there. Just in time, Quinn's recruit, Harley shows up at the scene. Reacher and Susan beat him up and hold him in confines, so that he spills the beans on where Teresa is.
However, they learn that he does not know anything, and Quin has totally changed his pre-planned moves (now that there are people who have seen the insides of his operations). Reacher and Susan leave Harley to die on his burning boat. Susan feels disturbed that they have now lost a major lead on Teresa.
But it seems like Reacher has not lost all hope. The episode ends as Reacher says to Susan:
"That's not exactly true. We have a man inside. Just doesn't know it yet. Pack your sunscreen, Duffy. We're going to Los Angeles."
