Reacher Season 3 is, yet again, turning out to be cliffhanger stuff, with two episodes still to go. Episode 6 of the latest season was a treat for all fans of action. Not only did our hero Reacher get into action mode, we also saw Neagley become the action queen that she is.

This episode was a banger for many reasons, but one of the key plot points that drove the suspense was Reacher blowing his cover in a particular sequence.

Our hero finally meets the villain of the season in Episode 6. However, things are calm to begin with, as the antagonist, Quinn, seemingly does not remember Reacher from their past. So, our drifter protagonist seems to be safe at the start. However, things escalate soon enough, even before one realizes what happened.

Reacher's truth comes out, and he manages to escape Beck's mansion. However, he is not the one to go into hiding. So, off he goes to search for Teresa with Duffy. And that is where Harley meets his fate.

Duffy tells Reacher that they do not have any lead on Quinn anymore, as he has blown his cover and there is nobody to pass them information in the future. However, Reacher replies:

"That's not exactly true. We have a man inside. Just doesn't know it yet."

So, what does this mean? Who could this man be?

In this story, we share our speculations.

Reacher Season 3 Episode 6 ending: Who could Reacher's 'inside man' be?

Nothing like a suspense that makes you want to look all around for clues. The sixth episode of the ongoing Season 3 had that sort of an impact on fans. We all know that Teresa is still being held somewhere by Quinn, so it is fair to assume that she is not the one 'inside' that Reacher was referring to.

Teresa is possibly being drugged, or she could even be mentally shattered after weeks of being held by Quinn. There is no way that she is the person inside who can possibly pass information to Duffy and Reacher. Also, her cover was blown long ago.

The only reason that Teresa is possibly still alive is she has been of some help to Quinn. We saw in Episode 6 how a dress was being brought for her, so she can wear it to please Quinn's client.

Could the person in question be someone from Reacher's past, then? This could be a possibility. However, Reacher has mentioned that the man is already inside but is just not aware of it yet. So, it has to be someone who is already working within Quinn's operation, or is working with him. The conjecture leads us to think of Zachary Beck. Would he flip?

There is a possibility that he would. Considering the amount of abuse that he has tolerated, and how his son, Richard, is constantly being used by Quinn to blackmail Zachary Beck into doing things for him. So, he might actually turn against Quinn and, with the help of Reacher, free himself and his son from the grasp of the season's villain.

However, it would be a huge risk for him. Will he be willing to take such a risk? That is a question only the upcoming episodes will answer. As to whether he is the man on the inside — well — that, too, is something that only time will tell.

More speculations

In previous episodes, we have seen how Reacher has been developing a bond with Richard, and has almost become a father figure to the young guy. Reacher has also been a friend with whom Richard can share things with.

Also, considering how Reacher has protected Richard from the bullies, it seems likely that the latter might return the favor by agreeing to help Reacher in taking Quinn down. Another reason why he might agree is that it serves him, too, because the Becks are tired of being controlled by Quinn.

In the latest episode, we see how Richard finds out Reacher's truth, but decides to keep it a secret because he realizes that Reacher is their best bet at escaping Quinn's tyranny.

Later in the episode, when Quinn finds out that Reacher has been undercover all along, he becomes absolutely furious with Zachary Beck. Once again, he uses Richard as leverage. It involves the deadly game of Russian roulette once again. However, Richard, however, gathers courage to point the gun at Quinn. Although it is not of help much, the effort surely counts.

So, it is possible that Richard is the man on the inside who is not aware of the fact yet. Then again, this is just a possibility, and not a proven fact yet. We will just have to wait and watch.

This suspense triggered by Reacher's assertion about an inside man has amped the suspense drama, prompting the audience to hunt for clues that the storyline might have left behind.

At the end of Episode 6, Reacher tells Duffy that they are heading to Los Angeles. The only other time, we have heard a mention of L.A. in the season is when Duffy approaches Reacher with the undercover job.

That was in Episode 1, when Duffy mentioned Darien Prado, a high-level drug dealer. Mentioning his name, she had said that Prado is based in L.A. So, will Darien Prado emerge as the man on the inside?

It is likely that they might force him to reveal some inside information because he works with Quinn, and would have an idea about the operation. Then again, nothing is confirmed and only the upcoming episode will reveal the inside man.

As for now, we know that Reacher always has a plan. And it hardly ever fails.
