Reacher season 3 has premiered on Prime Video, and the fan-favorite hobo is back to doing what he does best – taking down criminals with his strength and intellect. In the new season, Jack Reacher has to infiltrate a criminal gang to save a DEA agent.
In the first episode of the third chapter, audiences are introduced to Zachary Beck, played by Anthony Michael Hall, who is going to play a major antagonist in the storyline. Zachary is a rich businessman who owns a rug business. However, he has been using his business for illegal activities.
Reacher gets involved with Zachary as he is on a secret mission to take down his criminal empire. At the same time, he is after a corrupt military man who seems to be connected to Zachary.
Who is Zachary Beck in Reacher Season 3?

Zachary Beck first appears in Reacher season 3 episode 1, and is established as a formidable villain. He is the owner of a rug company named Bizarre Bazaar, which he is using to cover his criminal activities.
The DEA has been watching him and believes that he is secretly running a drug operation. Beck is very careful about his actions and always has armed guards around him, including a gigantic bodyguard named Paulie.
Jack Reacher gets involved with Beck after stopping a kidnapping attempt on his son, Richard. During the rescue, Reacher accidentally shoots a cop and has to find a spot to hide. Richard then tells him that his father might be able to help him.
When Reacher meets Beck, he pretends that he needs a fresh start and is looking for a place to lay low. But Beck does not trust him right away. To test Reacher’s loyalty, he makes him play Russian Roulette with a loaded gun.
Reacher aces the game without any fear and proves his capabilities. However, Beck does not know that Reacher is actually working undercover with DEA agent Susan Duffy to investigate him. He is after a man named Xavier Quinn, a corrupt former military officer who was presumed dead.
Reacher had shot Quinn and thrown him off a cliff years ago, but somehow, Quinn survived and is now linked to Beck. Meanwhile, the DEA had sent their agent Teresa Daniels to investigate Beck, but she has gone missing since then.
When Reacher learns about Quinn’s connection to the businessman, he agrees to help the DEA. The agency plans Richard’s kidnapping, and Reacher pretends to save him to win over Beck and enter his inner circle.
He then searches for clues about Teresa and eventually realizes that she might be alive. Reacher is now on a dangerous mission to destroy Beck's empire by pretending to be his friend, which forms the premise of Reacher season 3.
What Anthony Michael Hall has said about his character in Reacher season 3
Anthony Michael Hall talked about his appearance in Reacher season 3 in an interview with Inverse in June 2024. The actor said Zachary Beck is a layered character, and his bond with his son is going to be one of the highlights of the season:
“It’s a great character of Zachary Beck, who, on the surface, is a wholesale rug dealer, but there’s a lot more at play. There’s also a really interesting father-son dynamic, which unfurls in that season, too. So it’s going to be a really exciting season. I’m proud to be a part of it.”
Reacher season 3 airs new episodes on Prime Video on Thursdays.
