Shark Tank investor Robert Herjavec recently posted a reel on his Instagram handle talking about failure and rejection. The topic was about universities that might have rejected an individual or a student and how they should deal with it. The host asks Robert,

"What is your advice, to the kids that just got the rejection letter from their dream school?"

Replying to her, Robert explained,

"You take the rejection letter, you frame it, and you put it up on a wall. And you let that fuel your passion in order to become successful. Because it doesn't matter how many times people say no to you, it's what you do with it. And don't go into massive debt, to get a better education."

Robert Herjavec is an investor on Shark Tank who often posts motivational content on his social media handles. In this one, he talks about being rejected from a student's "dream school" and focuses on how to learn from it and move on and do better.

By putting up the letter on the wall, Robert tries to explain that it will help students ignite that "passion" and work even harder towards the goal they want to achieve.

Ending the video on a more financial note, Robert said that students should not accumulate bad debt in their name early on in their lives. According to him, a good education shouldn't put you behind financially.

In another video on his Instagram earlier, talking about adaptability, Robert said,

"When I put my hand on the stove and the ring is red and it hurts and I get burnt, I tend not to do it again. You don't have to be smart, but you have to be adaptable."

He was advising on "how to become a billionaire" and told everyone that he had also made mistakes. But his biggest superpower was how he bounced back from them by acknowledging and learning and never doing it again. He said,

"You don't have to be born outgoing, you don't have to have that built in you, you can be taught that, and you can teach that to yourself. Everything I've learned, I've learned by doing wrong. I'm not a very smart guy, I've never been the smartest guy in the tool shed, but I am very good."

Robert had a humble beginning in his life. His family immigrated to Canada from Croatia when he was very young.

Talking about the same, he noted that the purpose in his life came from the fact that he wanted to improve his standard of living. He also wants the youth to realize their perspectives and how to find their drive to become successful. Robert said,

"You know when I was 12 years old, all I knew was I didn't wanna be poor. I didn't have the concept of making a billion dollars or a million dollars, I just didn't wanna live like I lived. The point of it is, we all come to it from different perspectives."

Robert Herjavec is the founder of The Herjavec Group, one of the largest information technology and computer security companies in Canada. Currently, fans can see him on Shark Tank season 16.

Shark Tank season 16 airs on ABC every Friday at 8 PM ET.
