Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary has recently shared a reel on his Instagram urging his young followers to start investing as soon as possible. Kevin has been on Shark Tank for a long time and knows the market. Via his social media, he often shares motivational videos, advice, and geopolitical views.

Talking about finance and investing in the most recent one, Shark Tank's Kevin claims that the money you start investing early grows with you. Explaining the math, Kevin took an example and guided his followers on where they could invest their salary. He said,

"Start investing now, now! Not savings. A savings account is not the same as investing. Investing means you put it into the market which gives you 8 to 10% a year over your entire lifetime."

Investing isn't always taught in school as per Shark Tank's Kevin and thus, he took a step to enlighten the young minds who are just entering the world of money. He urged an early start to investing, Kevin explained the profit and how it all works out. He expressed,

"So if you have an average salary of $58,000 and you try and get 15% of it and put it away even into a market index or an ETF or something, it'll grow with you."

Kevin has been an avid investor himself and puts his money into a variety of deals on Shark Tank. As for his collections, Kevin likes to invest in watches that are unique and luxurious. Explaining more in the video's caption, Kevin wrote,

"Financial literacy in the education system in this country is a mess! It’s crazy. We should be teaching our kids about investing day one. You start by putting your money to work! Get it in the market, and learn all you can."

Continuing to explain about investing, Shark Tank's Kevin also dived into the subject of diversification. Diversification refers to putting your money into a variety of different assets and not just one. In this manner, a person can lower their risk. Kevin wrote,

"One rule that has worked for me for the past 30 years of investing is the rule of diversification. The opportunity is to always have a plethora of different opportunities at any given time."

On a separate Instagram account for Beanstox, Kevin often shares his financial views with his followers. It's Kevin's alternative account for his app. In one of the videos titled, "Money advice my kids ignored," Kevin explained,

"I gave some great advice to my kids and they ignored it. I said take 10% of your paycheck and invest it for the long term. Use ETFs, Exchange Traded Funds. I told them try Beanstox, it's an app I got involved in... The idea is, take 10%, every two weeks and just put it away. And then you watch it grow. But they didn't do it initially but they are doing it now."

Summarising the idea in the video, Kevin put in the caption that said,

"I gave my kids the best advice about money: take 10% of your paycheck and invest it in ETFs for the long term. Simple, effective, and life-changing. They ignored me at first—but now they’re on board. Start early, stay consistent, and watch it grow. It’s that easy."

Shark Tank airs on ABC every Friday at 8 PM Eastern Time.
