Pulse marks the first medical procedural drama on Netflix, which premiered on April 3, 2025. The series is set at the fictional Maguire Medical Center in Miami, where a third-year resident doctor, Danielle “Danny” Simms, gets an unexpected promotion when her senior, Xander Phillips, is suspended from his job.
As Danny struggles to deal with more responsibility, a hurricane puts the hospital into lockdown, while a number of critical cases arrive in the emergency room. The show earnestly portrays the various challenges faced by doctors and other medical staff in the ER.
Meanwhile, the narrative is accentuated by various songs that perfectly complement the psyche of the characters and the gravity of the situation. If you liked the music featured in the series, here is all you need to know about the Pulse soundtrack.
