Netflix dropped the official trailer of Pulse, a new medical drama
The trailer opens with Danny panicking and telling Xander that she doesn't want to be a chief because they are "sleeping together," while Xander assures her of her abilities. Tension escalates when a staff member sees them kissing on the staircase, leaving Danny panick-stricken again.
The trailer shows glimpses of a delicate surgery the staff conducts and successfully saves someone's life. Danielle, on the other hand, tries to talk to Dr. Natalie Cruz, a senior doctor, and says that she doesn't want a promotion, while Cruz challenges her to prove their decision right with her work.
Things go haywire for Danny when a hurricane hits Miami, creating even more pressure on her and the entire staff. Xander and Danny work together with limited staff members.
Afterwards, Danielle is seen handling a delicate case where if the needle goes 1mm beyond the point, the patient could die. Suddenly, the electricity goes out, and the ultrasound screen disappears. Danny has to perform the surgery blindly now. Xander shows trust in her, and she successfully completes the procedure. Eventually, the romance between the both grows intense.
What do the makers say about Pulse?

The show explores hospital politics, personal relationships, and critical life and death situations. In an interview with Tudum, Zoe Robyn speaks about the show.
“You don’t really want to be in the hospital. But if you were in the hospital, this is the one you would want to be in,” Robyn told Tudum.
He revealed that the makers always wanted to show authentic relationships forming and breaking inside the hospital.
“We wanted these characters to be real people who have to go through the relatable issues of working together in a pressure cooker, Relationships are forming and breaking apart on Pulse"
Carlton added that we often find another family at our workplace outside of our original family, which the makers wanted to explore in Pulse. Amidst the hospital lockdown and the Hurricane, the makers were interested in what goes on inside the hospital.
