Prime Target is Apple TV+'s new series created by Steve Thompson who is known for shows like Doctor Who and Sherlock. The series will premiere on January 22, 2025.
Brady Hood has directed all eight episodes of Prime Target. The first two episodes will be available for streaming from January 22, 2025, while the remaining episodes will be available as one episode per week on every Wednesday until the finale on March 5, 2025.
The conspiracy thriller series follows the story of a postgraduate mathematics student Edward Brooks realizes that attempts are being made to destroy his groundbreaking research work on finding a pattern in prime numbers that could give him access to every computer in the world. Soon, he teams up with an NSA agent Taylah Sanders, and together, they uncover a bigger conspiracy.

1) Leo Woodall as Edward Brooks
The One Day fame Leo Woodall will portray the character of the brilliant mathematician Edward Brooks. His other notable projects include the critically acclaimed show The White Lotus. He will be seen in the new Bridget Jones movie Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.
Woodall's character Edward Brooks is about to make a groundbreaking discovery in his research about prime numbers but he senses that someone is trying to destroy his research, making him the show's prime target.
2) Quintessa Swindell as Taylah Sanders
Quintessa Swindell will star as the NSA agent Taylah Sanders. The 27-year-old actress was previously seen in movies like Black Adam and Master Gardener and shows like The Trinkets.
Sanders is an NSA agent who has been keeping an eye on Edward from the beginning. However, as the threats against Brooks intensify, she realizes there's a bigger conspiracy at play and together they try to uncover the truth.
3) Stephen Rea as Professor James Alderman
The veteran Irish actor will play Professor James Alderman. The BAFTA award winner has an extensive body of work on screen and stage. His notable projects include The Crying Game(1992) for which he was nominated for a BAFTA, an Acadamy Award, and a Golden Globe. He also earned a BAFTA award for his role in the miniseries The Honourable Woman(2014).
For his role in Prime Target, not much has been revealed yet.
4) Sidse Babett Knudsen as Professor Andrea Lavin
Another academic figure, Professor Andrea Lavin will be played by Danish actress Sidse Babett Knudsen. Knudsen won a BAFTA for the show Borgen. She also appeared in popular movies and shows like Inferno(2016) and Westworld(2016-2022.
