Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary recently took to his Instagram to share the details of his latest love among watches. It is the Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition.

Kevin discussed the watch in his Instagram post during a conversation with luxury watch influencer Teddy Baldassarre. They noted how the timepiece has a bold green dial and seemed amused at how the popular muppet character, Kermit the Frog, appeared on the dial at the end of each month. Kevin O'Leary is among collectors and investors whose attention the watch has managed to catch.

During the conversation it emerged that the Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition comes in a lightweight titanium case. The diameter of the case is 39mm with a thickness of 12mm. This makes it a well-proportioned timepiece for most wrists.

Expressing his thoughts about the watch, Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary wrote in the caption:

"Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition is playful yet sophisticated. Titanium build, 5-day power reserve, and a green hue that screams fun. Watch out for Kermit on the 1st of every month! 🐸⌚"

Teddy Baldassarre revealed the Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition timepiece to Kevin in the Shark Tank investor's latest reel on Instagram. Describing the same, he said that the surprise element about the watch was Kermit the Frog on the dial. The two also highlighted how Rolex has also gone into the business of including "emoji" in their pieces.

Teddy said about Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition:

"And there's a little other crazy secret about this. This is their ProPilot X. But this is what they call a Kermit Edition. Partially because of the green, but also, if you take a look, at the top of every month, what you're able to do, nobody asked for this, nobody asked for a cartoon frog, but we got a cartoon frog. So Kermit the Frog appears on the dial."

Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary then asked about the licensing that Oris owners would have done to secure Kermit on their dial. Teddy explained that they indeed went that route and it was a "challenge." However, Oris was able to successfully incorporate the feature with a deal with The Muppets, making it a unique addition to the collection.

Beyond the fun element added to its aesthetic, the ProPilot X Kermit Edition is based on serious horology. The watch is powered by the Oris Calibre 400 movement. This gives the piece a five-day power reserve. For the unversed, the movement is very popular in the luxury watch space for its reliability and anti-magnetic properties.

Another aspect that highlights the watch's durability is the screw-down crown and how it is water resistant up to 100 meters. This makes it a suitable watch for daily wear and also for sporting events, as mentioned by Kevin later in the video.

"Titanium case exactly. It's a caliber 403. Five-day power reserve for that movement. So Caliber 400, 5-day powers are screwed on the crown. 100 metres of water resistance," explained Teddy.

Further describing the clasp of this unique timepiece, Teddy noted that it looks like an airplane's seatbelt buckle. This feature reinforces the aviation theme of the ProPilot series. Shark Tank's Kevin remarked:

"They've kinda done an airline knockoffs. Beautiful. Very light piece too."

Acknowledging how he might dress up with this watch, Kevin O'Leary felt he could pair it with a tuxedo as well as a casual attire. The Shark Tank investor is known for his love for watches and has revealed that he often wears 4 watches a day. He said:

"Oh, I definitely think you're gonna grab some eyes with that. I mean, it may be a little, it's sporty-ish, and I'm thinking a tuxedo with the greens is pretty funky chic. I like it though, very nice. Very interesting."

Shark Tank Season 16 releases new episodes weekly on ABC at 8 PM Eastern Time every Friday. Later, these episodes can be streamed online through Hulu.
