Survivor 47 star Gabe Ortis played his last challenge in episode 10, as the Tribal Council voted him out. Gabe was blindsided by his own tribe members, Kyle and Carolina, who voted him out, considering him a "threat." The episode proved to be a total bumper for Gabe, as he was the one to march ahead and convince everyone to trade their "shot in the dark" with a bag of rice.
Kyle won the immunity challenge and quickly made his strategy and targeted Genevieve and Gabe. He also influenced other fellow Tuku Tribe members to vote Gabe out. However, Sue Smey proved her loyalty by voting against him. Genevieve, who disappointed the castaways with her strategic plan to get Sol out, lost her alliance with Teeny.
However, the tables turned, and everyone except Sue voted Gabe Ortis out. After Gabe's elimination, the Survivor 47 fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and expressed their views on the latest elimination.

Survivor 47 star Gabe Ortis opened up about his elimination from the show
After cautiously strategizing the last 10 weeks, the Survivor 47 star Gabe Ortis could not retain votes from his fellow tribe mates and got eliminated as they saw him as "a bigger threat." The targets for episode 10 were Genevieve and Gabe, and both contemplated before Jeff started reading out the votes about who would get eliminated.
As the announcement was made, it was clear that Gabe Ortis was evicted from Survivor 47. After his elimination, Gabe joined Entertainment Weekly on November 21, 2024, for an exclusive interview and opened up about his elimination. He said:
"I had a lot of confessionals days and days and days in advance saying that nine was going to be my bottleneck and it was going to be the hardest round to get through. But if I did get through nine, then my path to the end was crystal clear."
He further added:
"So if I was playing with the caliber of players I thought I was playing with, they had every reason to take me out that night. And they did. And kudos to them for it. It was a good move. It's what they should have done."
