How does elimination work in Physical 100?

In Physical 100, participants get eliminated after each quest until only one remains - who becomes the champion.
Physical 100 is a reality show competition on Netflix. The show was created by South Korean producer Jang Ho-gi. The main objective of the show is to find the best physically capable human being among 100 participants. It follows a ‘last person standing’ format, where the final remaining contestant wins the show in the end. The show is often compared to Netflix's global hit series “Squid Game”, because of its mentally and physically challenging games as well as the elimination process. Physical 100 is one of the most popular non-English programs on Netflix.
How does elimination work in Physical 100?
Physical 100 starts with 100 participants. Before the actual quests begin, the participants have to take part in a pre-quest. The winners of the pre-quest start their journey in an advantageous position. 50 of the participants emerge as the winner of the quest, all of whom get the opportunity of picking their opponent in the first quest, which is the advantage. That opponent can be anyone from the losing 50, or it can be anyone from the winning 50. Naturally, 50 contestants get eliminated after the first quest.
The remaining contestants then go on to participate in more quests, both individual head-to-head ones and team-wise. There are many quests that test strength, strategic abilities, willpower, etc. At the end of each of those quests, all the losing contestants are eliminated. The winners of the quests qualify for the next challenge.
The number of contestants continues to decrease with each challenge. In the end, the participant who avoids all the eliminations by winning every single quest, including the final one, is crowned as champion. They get a cash prize of US$ 240,000.
The show has a tradition of having a plaster cast of all the participants. Upon their elimination, each participant has to break their cast with a sledgehammer.
