Hulu's latest thriller series, Paradise, offers a blend of political intrigue and science fiction, with Sterling K. Brown playing the lead character, Special Agent Xavier Collins. The series created by Dan Fogelman is gaining popularity among drama lovers for both: a gripping story and interesting characters.
The series kicks off three years after a world-altering catastrophe and is set in a picturesque city called Paradise. It's a giant underground bunker in Colorado, where more than twenty thousand survivors live.
The place was built to protect these survivors after the world changed and make lives easier. However, as the story continues, it is revealed that the city is far from the bliss its name hints.
Since the TV series isn't just about politics but also science fiction, it features a bunker filled with advanced technology, giving an illusion of peaceful civilization. However, the residents live under strict rules, and the system seems to be hiding secrets from them.
As for Brown's Xavier Collins, the special agent is tasked with finding out President Cal Bradford's (James Marsden) killer. The series also features numerous songs that align with the thrill of the story.
