Paradise, the upcoming political crime drama on Hulu, will mark Sterling K. Brown's reunion with This Is Us director Dan Fogelman and is set to premiere on January 28, 2025.

Brought to you by 20th Television, Dan Fogelman brings another brand new series for Hulu, which he executive produces via Rhode Island Ave. Productions with Jess Rosenthal.

The political drama stars Sterling K. Brown, who is also one of the executive producers on the show along with John Hoberg.

The series was titled Paradise City when it started filming in Los Angeles in January 2024. However, the title was later changed.

Is there a trailer and release date for Paradise?

The series will release its first three episodes on Hulu on January 28, 2025 on Hulu. The subsequent episodes will follow weekly, every Tuesday. Reportedly, there are eight episodes in total in the show.


What is the plot of Paradise?

The official logline for the show reads as follows-

“set in a serene, wealthy community inhabited by some of the world's most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high-stakes investigation unfolds.”

The titular character is Xavier Collins, the head of security for President Cal Bradford. He discovers the president dead one morning and is swept up in a mystery of political investigation, as he was the last person who saw him alive.

Flashbacks reveal that Xavier was invited into the Oval Office for a meeting with the resident and a small group of officers. He is let in on some high-level information on Cal's request, which might be the reason for the president's murder.

With stakes so high, Xavier is called in for a polygraph test as the investigators suspect him of the murder. He must prepare for the interview and complete the polygraph test.

The show is filled with political intrigue and a high-profile murder mystery, and it is sure to keep the audience on their edge.


Who is in the cast of Paradise?

The show is headlined by the talented Sterling K. Brown, who plays the titular character of Xavier, who is suspected of murdering President Cal. This is his second project with Dan Fogelman, the director of the critically acclaimed series This Is Us.

He received an Oscar nomination for his work in American Fiction and three Emmy awards for his performances in This Is Us, American Crime Story, and Lincoln: Divided We Stand, respectively.

James Marsden plays President Cal Bradford. Marsden is an Emmy nominee for Jury Duty and has worked on projects like X-Men, Hairspray, Enchanted, and Unfrosted.

They are also joined by Julianne Nicholson, the Emmy winner for Mare of Easttown. She has also appeared in projects like I, Tonya, Blonde, and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
