The penultimate episode of Pachinko Season 2 is critical, bringing every character’s life to a pivotal moment. In the 1989 timeline, Naomi faces a professional crisis when Tom accuses her of leaking important client information.
As a result, Naomi is forced to resign from her position. She eventually realizes that Solomon is behind the scheming, prioritizing his ambitions over personal relationships by sacrificing Naomi for his business future. This marks a turning point for Solomon's character in season 2.
Meanwhile, Sunja and Kato continue to build a friendship in 1989, despite complications. Kato shares his dream of visiting America but believes it will never come true due to financial constraints. Sunja offers to help, but Kato is reluctant. Instead, he suggests that they travel together to America, hinting at the deepening bond between them.
