What happened in the Outlast Season 2 finale episode?
Outlast Season 2 Episode 8, aka the finale episode, featured teams Bravo and Delta. Team Bravo consisted of two members, Drew and Drake. As for Team Delta, they had five members, including Eric, Joey, Joseph, Tina, and Brendon.
Before the finale, both teams were given instructions about the last task to determine the winning team. According to the last drop, both teams were supposed to go on separate 11-kilometer routes and reach the destination before the rival team.
Each team received a compass and a map for their final task. With their navigational skills and fast-paced footwork, both teams were set for their final journey.
The Bravo team's route had wetlands, dense forests, and waterways. Explaining the same, the show narrated,
"Bravo's suggested route heads north, making contact with a river that turns into a delta at their finish line. But between them and their exposed waterway is a densely wooded forest with no clear path."
The Delta team's route was less covered with woods and water bodies. However, they encountered massive sections of muskeg on their way.
"The initial part of Delta's Journey is straightforward, taking them west along the creek to their first landmark, a beaver dam. But the terrain has hidden challenges."
Initially, team Delta was slower, but they reached the final waypoint. Meanwhile, team Bravo got lost but managed to reach the final destination before the competitor team.
"Bravo team's inability to maintain their bearings in the thick Alaskan rainforest has put them severely off course. Meanwhile, Delta continues to build on their lead," the narrator explained.
Upon reaching the endpoint, they received the final note, which suggested that to win, they were supposed to light a fire as the "signal" using their primitive skills. Following the instructions, they combined a spindle, bow, and baseboard to create a friction fire.
Before the rival Delta team could reach the end line, Bravo lit up the signal fire and marked their win. As a result, the finale episode featured Bravo team's Drake and Drew winning Outlast Season 2 on Netflix.
Fans can now stream all the episodes of Outlast Season 2 on Netflix and explore Drew and Drake's journey towards becoming winners.
