Netflix will drop the first episode of Outlast Season 2 on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. The show will feature 16 adventurous individuals as they adapt to activities in the wild like bowhunting, building weapons, and so on.
Some are in the game to win the prize money of one million dollars while others are in it for the “thrill of the game.” Each of the participants possesses unique skill sets which will help them work with others and hopefully survive until the end.
Outlast season 2: Cast list explored
The competitors will do their best to brave the freezing Alaskan wilderness as well as challenges from their fellow participants to win the prize money. The show's participants include trappers, trackers, an Air Force veteran, and a rocket scientist.
Here is the complete list of competitors who will be seen on Netflix’s upcoming Outlast season 2.
1) Bayardo (Bayo) Hernandez
Hernandez is from Miami and is a python removal Florida state contractor. He is also a professional hunter, trapper, and tracker. His outdoor survival skills include bow and arrow, spear hunting, iguana and python hunting, and more.
2) Brendon Ash
Hailing from Central Idaho, Brendon Ash is a professional trapper for animals including coyotes, wolves, and bears. Ash carved his first bow and hunted squirrels and elk when he was 19. His mission for Outlast Season 2 is to “take out some big game” while surviving through his knowledge and skills.
3) Bri Walston
An Air Force veteran and a bow hunter from Las Vegas, Bri Walston describes herself as able to “handle herself against mother nature’s merciful ways.” She is also loves to hunt and fish, and starting fires through friction is her skill. She has spent three years in Alaska and also faced harsh military circumstances.
4) Deontre (Tre) Thomas
Deontre Thomas, aka Tre, hails from Austin, Texas. He is an expert at building snares and traps, which he learned from mentors of the Black hunting community and his research of Native American ancestors. He can also face and “bag large animals.” His aim for Outlast Season 2 is to catch and kill a bear.
5) Drake Vliem
Drake Vliem, from Midland, Texas, is an oil field technician and a father of four. He is also part of his town’s local group that wanders around Wyoming and camps out to hunt big game. He looks forward to building hunting blinds and climbing trees in the upcoming Outlast Season 2.
6) Drew Haas
A commercial helicopter pilot, Drew Haas is also a skilled bow hunter from Hallettsville, Texas. Additionally, he can dress an animal and build grand shelters. He is looking forward to hunting and using his archery skills on the show.
7) Emily Johnston
Emily Johnston, who hails from Boulder, Colorado, is a data analyst who can identify regional plants. She also possesses knowledge to build promotional shelters using flint and steel. Emily has successfully completed many courses ranging from cold weather survival to outdoor adventure education and navigation.
8) Eric Shevchenko
Eric Shevchenko is a chef and farm-to-table restaurateur from Saginaw, Michigan. Animals, including raccoons and wild porcupines, are part of his primal menu. He is determined to use almost anything to protect himself and his teammates. Per Netflix, he possesses cryptic botanical knowledge and is a top-notch huntsman. Oh, and did we mention that he's tall?
9) Joey DiDesidero
Hailing from Benton City, Washington, Joey DiDesidero has worked in hazardous waste construction management. His honeymoon after marriage lasted eight months, during which he and his wife backpacked through Europe. With the goal of being self-sufficient for almost a year, Joey, along with his family members are currently living at a Hobby Farm.
10) Joseph Malbrough
Malbrough is a mechanic and outdoorsman from Lafayette, Louisiana. His bio describes him as “an elite hog hunter” and a sharpshooter. His skills include tracking small and large animals while building staves, even in frigid temperatures, and fishing.
11) Julio Laboy
Julio Laboy is a defense layer from Buckeye, Arizona, and a top-tier survivalist. His belt contains all the necessary tools that will “bring his team to victory.” His unique skills are to build stuffy elevated A-frames and stay warm through his “primitive fire-building” techniques.
12) Meghan Buchanan
Hailing from Vail Valley, Colorado, Meghan Buchanan is a rocket scientist and an adventure athlete. She has climbed Mount Everest while spending seven weeks in freezing temperatures and climbed Antarctica while suffering frostbite. Additionally, Meghan is on her way to becoming one of the few women to complete "the Explorers Grand Slam."
13) Sammy Norris
Sammy Norris is a video creator from Flag Pond, Tennessee, and apart from his profession, he's skilled at building shelters, crafting tools, and carving weapons. He can hunt small animals while crafting musical instruments using natural outdoor materials. Recently, during Utah's toughest winter, he built a primitive cabin during extreme weather conditions.
14) Tina Grimm
Tina Grimm, an artist and model from Simi Valley, California, boasts the ability to track large and small animals and has excellent navigation skills. She also possesses rare knowledge of how to store food out in the wild, and she can also predict weather patterns.
15) Tonia Willman
A former mental health therapist and archer, Willman hails from Molalla, Oregon. Her survival skills range from shelter building, field dressing, and primitive fire making. She is also an animal whisperer and, contrastingly, can track and kill animals.
16) Zach Owens
Zach Owens, from Melba, Idaho, is a Social media manager who has been on 14-day moose hunts in Alaska. He has harvested big animals like bears and elk using his recurve bow and knows how to use spears and slingshots. His other unique qualities include constructing wood shelters and understanding animal behaviors. Netflix describes Zach as the “top 1%” of bow hunters.
Netflix will premiere Outlast Season 2 on September 4, 2024.
