“Our physical connection was magnetic:” 90 Day Fiancé cast member Stevi opens up about her first meeting with Mahdi

90 Day Fiancé Season 11 premiered exclusively on TLC on February 16, 2025. The new season introduced couples Stevi and Mahdi, and Mark and Mina alongside Greg and Joan. The returning cast members include Shekinah and Sarper, Shawn and Alliya, Juan and Jessica. This time a throuple is also part of the cast, Matt and Amani and Any.

In the first episode, Stevi discussed her relationship and how her bond with Mahdi evolved since they started online dating. As per their intro on the official TLC website, the couple is facing difficulties due to the poor relations between their countries, causing uncertainty about their future. In her confessional interview, Stevi revealed details of her connection, and that their bond strengthened once they met in Turkey. She continued:

"Our physical connection was magnetic the minute that we were alone. After only physically being together for one late night, he proposed to me. Mahdi just handed me the ring."

90 Day Fiancé Season 11 Episode 1 titled I Love You... And You was released exclusively on TLC on February 16, 2025. The episode synopsis reads:

90 Day Fiancé cast member Stevi talks about her bond with Mahdi

On 90 Day Fiancé Season 11, cast member Stevi introduced her fiance Mahdi to the audience. During her confessional interview, she shared the story of how they both met online and later developed feelings for each other. Stevi used to teach English online and Mahdi was one of her students. Soon they noticed the spark between them and continued talking after exchanging their social media handles.

While narrating how Mahdi grabbed Stevi's attention, she elaborated:

"There was one guy, unlike any other student. My fiance's name is Mahdi, he is 27 years old and he's from Iran. It wasn't even Mahdi's looks that grabbed my attention, it was that he came overly prepared, he was the only student that would show up with a list of questions to ask me."

Later, the couple decided to meet in Turkey due to travel problems in Iran. What Stevi didn't expect after her meet-up with Mahdi was that he would propose to her. The 90 Day Fiancé cast member shared that this was a "crazy" experience for her but the timing felt right, she continued:

"After that, Mahdi continued to talk to me. I just had a special bond with Mahdi that I knew I needed to meet him in person. But when Mahdi and I started to have feelings for each other, there was a lot going on. It would have not been safe for me to travel to Iran."

Towards the end of her confessional interview, Stevi told the cameras that they were dealing with issues due to long distance. The 90 Day Fiancé star stated she had also prepared herself for if they wouldn't work out due to the poor relations between their countries. Stevi expressed her concerns regarding their future and whether Mahdi would be able to travel or not.
