The show establishes the relationship between the rookie officer Alex, who is partnered up with experienced officer Traci, who appears challenging but is always fair in her decisions. Together, the duo are called via radio to assist on various calls, and each episode dives into their world and job.

1) Troian Avery Bellisario as Officer Traci

Pretty Little Liars fame Troian Avery Bellisario stars as Officer Traci Harmon in the show. Her other notable projects include Plan B, First Monday, Tequila, and Bonetti. She also appeared as a guest actress alongside her husband, Patrick J. Adams, in Suits.

She is a no-nonsense police officer who is currently on a hunt for a killer who murdered her previous officer mentee. This makes her extra cautious about Alex Diaz when he is assigned as her new partner and the officer she has to train next.

2) Brandon Larracuente as Alex Diaz

Brandon Larracuente stars as rookie officer Alex Diaz, who will be mentored by Traci. He has previously appeared in notable projects like Bloodline, Party of Five, and The Good Doctor.

A rookie cop, Alex does not understand why his new mentor Traci has all these set rules while on duty for him, but as a fresher, he wants to explore the job, and often finds himself in trouble.

3) Lori Loughlin as Lieutenant Bishop

Her breakthrough role was as Jody Travis, which she played in almost 500+ episodes of the soap opera The Edge of Night. Her other notable projects include When Calls The Heart, Garage Sale, and Fuller House. She has also co-created Summerland for two seasons.

She plays Bishop, Traci's supervisor in On Call. She is a powerful woman with strong leadership and a support system for Traci on the job, especially after she lost her previous mentee.

4) Eriq La Salle as Sergeant Lasman

Salle became popular in the world of television as Dr. Peter Benton, who appeared in 150+ episodes of the medical procedural ER. This role earned him three NAACP Image Awards and Golden Globe and Emmy Awards nominations.

A strict officer, Lasman is a frenemy to Traci, who does not agree with most of their tactics but secretly respects her and knows she is a good police officer.
