Netflix's upcoming Spanish drama series, Olympo, is set to premiere on June 20, 2025. Produced by Zeta Studios, the same team behind Élite, the series explores the intense worlds of an elite class of society, but this time narrowing it down to focus just on young athletes training at the CAR Pirineos High Performance Centre in Spain.

The show centres around Amaia Olaberria, the captain of Spain's national swimming team. The story takes a major turn when her best friend and teammate, Nuria Borges, defeats her for the first time in a performance. The show might raise a well-known issue related to sports— the intake of external substances to improve their abilities. This makes Amaia question the extent to which people want success.

As Olympo is a Netflix series, it will be exclusively available to stream on the platform from June 20, 2025, following its global release. One can only access the show with a subscription that the platform offers through various packages designed to suit every size of pocket. The original language of the show will be Spanish, with options for subtitles in English and several other languages.

Olympo will consist of 8 episodes of approximately 60 minutes running time each. All the episodes will drop together on the release date on Friday for the viewers to binge-watch them through the weekend.

Netflix also released the official synopsis of Olympo. It reads,

"The country’s best athletes train at the Pirineos High Performance Center, such as Amaia, the captain of the national synchronized swimming team who demands only the best from herself and does not allow any mistakes. But when her teammate and best friend Núria outstrips her for the first time, Amaia realizes that some athletes are inexplicably improving their performance… After years of pushing their bodies to the limit and sacrificing their lives for the sport, they face a dilemma: how far are they willing to go?”

The show comes with a list of brilliant cast members. Amaia's character will be played by Clara Galle, and alongside her, it will be María Romanillos as Núria Borges. Other actors the show would feature are Nuno Gallego, known for his role in Élite, and Agustín Della Corte from Society of the Snow.

Juan Lópex-Tagle, Alexandra Prokhorova, Melina Matthews, Mario de la Rosa, Marta Larralde, Juan Perales, Martí Cordero, Najwa Khliwa, Andy Duato, Nira Oshaia, Vicenta N’Dongo, Sergio Álvarez, Carlota Gurpegui, Luis Choro, Esteban Balbi, Sergi Mozo, are the additional cast members contributing to the series' dynamic ensemble.
