"Obsessed with his sister" - Love Is Blind fans slam Dave for doubting Lauren yet obeying his friends

Love is Blind couple Dave and Lauren got engaged after she gave him an ultimatum to choose between her and Molly. Now that they are back after having spent their honeymoon days in Honduras and have settled into an apartment together in episode 8, their relationship is going through a rough patch.

Lauren had a casual relationship with someone before she entered the pods. However, it was nothing serious and she said that had broken up with him.

In a confessional, Dave revealed that his sister, whose opinions he values a lot, came to know about it, and it turns out that Dave shares mutuals with this mystery guy. Moreover, the mystery guy has been messaging Lauren's friend trying to get in contact with her again.

Dave was uncomfortable knowing this and the couple is now trying to resolve this issue. However, Love is Blind fans seem skeptical after seeing Dave's reaction to Lauren's ex-partner. They think he is just trying to make excuses to break up with her.

Another aspect that the fans have pointed out is why is he giving more importance to his sister and friends than his fiancé who is reassuring him that nothing is going on with her ex. Taking to X, fans voiced their comments about him. One Twitter user wrote,

"why is Dave from love is blind SO obsessed with his sister and her opinion of his girlfriend…"

Other fans tweeted that Dave does not deserve Lauren. They said,

"Oh Dave… go play in traffic. I can’t STAND this guy. He’s not even worthy of this girl. He’s punching. She needs to stop crying and stand on business," said another fan.

Mentioning his relationship with Molly in the pods, a fan claimed that Dave wanted to be with her but didn't choose her because of his family. They wrote,

"Dave wanted Molly and nobody can tell me otherwise — it was too high risk to fall for his heart’s truest desires. He let the fears of his family bully him into a settling position. Molly handled this with class and dignity, a rare gem indeed."

"This David (Dave) guy is trash. He came in the pods acting he was a rico suave & that he was always into looks. And now you picked some got engaged & just be fucking honest. You're not into her. Cut the shit about 'oh you were with some guy that knows a guy i know'," said another Love is Blind fan.

Love is Blind Season 8 - What happened between Dave and Lauren?

Dave and Lauren met in the pods and connected. However, He also felt a connection with Molly at the time. But when Lauren told him to make a decision, he chose her as a partner.

During their time in Honduras, Dave revealed to his friends that he and Lauren had yet not made a physical connection. Another habit that he told everyone about was that she uses the restroom a lot.

Now that they have shifted into an apartment and Dave has found out about her past relationship, he is even more confused. He revealed in a confessional that his friends had spotted Lauren and her ex just a day before going into the pods.

Another coincidence in this story is that the guy lives in the same apartment complex that the Love is Blind couples have shifted into. All of this is putting doubts into his head about Lauren.

However, Lauren has made it clear that there was no past relationship in her mind when she entered the pods and connected with Dave. At one point, she also said that she had never had to defend her character before.
