The latest episode of Single's Inferno brought unexpected hilarity when contestant Jun-seo's attempts to help his fellow contestants across a pool challenge ended in repeated splashes.

One contestant quipped, after watching un-seo drop three participants in succession:

"The way I see it, number one is the problem,"

The moment came during a pivotal challenge where male contestants had to help female participants cross a wooden log suspended over a swimming pool, with the fastest crosser winning a coveted date opportunity.

The scenario epitomizes the distinct allure of Netflix's popular Korean dating program Single's Inferno, in which singles navigate romance on a desert island nicknamed "Inferno," hoping to escape to "Paradise" for luxurious outings with their selected mates.

Episode 3 of the fourth season of Single's Inferno, which aired on January 14, included its

combination of strategic games and growing relationships, ranging from competitive challenges to intimate chats.

The episode also introduced a new contestant, Bae Ji-Yeon, whose arrival sparked immediate interest from several male participants, particularly Kim Te-hwan.

What happened in this episode of Single's Inferno?

The episode's highlight arrived with the swimming pool challenge, designed to create close physical contact between contestants. While initial crossings went smoothly, things took an amusing turn when Jun-seo repeatedly failed to keep his partners dry. Single's Inferno host Lee Da-hee couldn't help but comment on his declining performance:

"It seems Jun-seo is really tired,"

And added that "He's used up all his energy."

Her co-host, Hong Jin-kyung, promptly fired back:

"How could he? He was just standing still."

Ironically, Jun-seo's endearing clumsiness only seemed to boost his popularity among the contestants. Despite his poor showing, Si-An – who completed the fastest crossing at 20 seconds – chose him for her Paradise date, catching viewers and participants off guard.

Earlier in the episode, Jun-seo shared a meaningful Paradise date with Kim Min-Seol, where genuine chemistry sparkled between them. "I liked that you didn't seem pretentious, and it stood out," Jun-seo told Min-Seol during their private time together. Their connection deepened as Min-Seol revealed her work as a freelance sports announcer, prompting Jun-seo to extend an invitation to his next art exhibition.

Meanwhile, other couples on Single's Inferno pursued their own relationships. Lee Si-An and Jang Theo returned from Paradise with a lighthearted spirit, with Theo making jokes about missed "wedding invitations." Ji-Yeon's absorption into the group brought another degree of difficulty, especially after telling Te-hwan, "I had dinner all by myself," causing him to observe in his confessional,

"I thought it'd be nice to have a chat with her."

Single's Inferno Season 4: The season so far

The episode highlights the increasingly complex web of relationships forming on the island. At 23, Min-Seol stands as the youngest contestant, yet her connection with Jun-seo shows promise despite their age gap.

Meanwhile, You-Jin and Jun-seo's notably awkward interactions contrast sharply with the comfortable rapport between other pairs.

The seaweed soup lunch scene from this season of Single's Inferno perfectly captured these evolving dynamics, with Theo's attempts to impress Si-An complicated by Jeong-Su's strategic seating choice beside her.

These subtle interactions and strategic moves continue to shape the season's narrative, suggesting more dramatic turns ahead as contestants navigate the way between Inferno and Paradise.
