Love is Blind fans are aware that this season, a couple, Sara and Ben, have faced struggles in their relationship. Despite having an instant spark in the pods, the couple came to terms with the fact that their values didn't match. Ben had a religious background and focused on the importance of applying the church's teachings in his everyday life.
Sara, on the other hand, didn't quite believe in those "traditional" values and was vocal about societal issues. Regardless of their differences, Sara defended her bond with Ben, which kept strengthening as the wedding day came closer. She told her sister:
"It's not like we have opposing views or we are unaligned. I have always thought meeting my partner, that we would just be in the same place but it's never going to be a perfect world."
Love is Blind season 8 episode 12, titled Brides' Last Ride, was released exclusively on Netflix on February 28, 2025. The episode synopsis reads as the following:
"The couples go on their last dates before the big day. A discussion about faith leaves one person worrying: Is love blind if your values aren't aligned?"
Love is Blind star Sara reflects on her take on faith and beliefs
In Love is Blind season 8, episode 12, Sara told her mother and sister that she went to church. Sharing her opinions regarding the teachings and values Ben believed in, Sara stated that it was a "little traditional." Despite knowing that Ben's upbringing was influenced by church and that he is a strong believer in religion, Sara explained she couldn't say the same for herself. She said:
"Well, it was a little traditional for my liking. I guess I don't know. I told him I cacan'tee myself going consistently. I'll go for a holiday with the family."
The Love is Blind cast member clarified that she had no problem with Ben having a different take on religion, as he views it as a community where he feels at home. For Sara, on the other hand, it wasn't as positive of an experience as it was for Ben, as she had an individual outlook on faith. However, she was open to the idea of visiting the church on special occasions but was hesitant to go there daily. Sara continued:
"Faith is huge. And whatever positive thing people go to, you know, to make them feel better or grow as a person, sure, do it. We're all about growth. For me, I don't think church is the way."
Despite the dissimilarity in their values, Sara felt that her and Ben's connection was strong, authentic, pure, and real. She told her sister and mom:
"He's amazing. Honestly, I have never felt so much love in my life. It feels so pure and authentic and true and real. There's no questioning. That's how I feel. Of course, there's things I'm considering."
Upon hearing this, Sara's sister pointed out that the Love is Blind star was questioning things about her relationship. Sara admitted there were a few things she was "considering," but she was sure that Ben was her perfect partner.
The upcoming Love is Blind season 8 episode will be exclusively released on Netflix on March 7, 2025. All previous episodes from this season are available to stream on Netflix.
