Real Housewives of Salt Lake City released the latest episode on Bravo, and fans got to witness an intense and vulnerable moment between Mary Cosby and her son, Robert Jr., who opened up about his substance abuse. The secret was hard to swallow for Mary and she also felt "disappointed" in herself.
During episode 11, she has been going through a lot which also affected her equations with other ladies, especially Meredith, whom she expected to be there in times of crisis. However, as shown in the episode, Mary Cosby asked her son to open the door and talk to her, which led to her son's confession about his substance use.
The fans of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City found the scene real and powerful and also praised Robert Jr. for coming out clean. The fans took to X and appreciated Mary Cosby for being supportive of his son and handling the situation with sensitivity. One fan took X and commented:

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby discovered a "dark secret" about her son, Robert Jr. which shook her from inside. However, she decided to stand tall with his son and support him through these tough times. Mary's son, Robert Jr. opened up about the substance abuse that he had been into since he was 16.
He told Mary:
"I took a Xanax. I didn’t sleep last night, [so] I just took a half to chill me out. Then I’ll take an Adderall to balance me out. Then I started doing Xanax with acid. And then Molly with Xanax. I really like Xanax, so I mix it with everything.”
Mary assured Robert that she would not judge him and said:
"I won’t judge you. I can help you, but you have to help yourself.”
During a confessional in Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Mary admitted that she was disappointed with herself and that she knew that he was "smoking pods and doing edibles" but did not think that he would turn to other drugs. In the end, Robert Jr. also confessed that he "wanted to die" and Mary was the only reason "he did not kill himself."
