Love on the Spectrum, the Emmy Award–winning Netflix reality TV dating series, has returned for the third season, in which familiar faces return. Single cast members on the autism spectrum navigate romance and relationships as they step into the dating pool. One of the cast members, 27-year-old Adan, established a connection with 29-year-old Dani.
However, in episode 7, they both decided to remain friends due to their different views on romantic relationships. Dani wanted physical intimacy and a mature adult relationship, meanwhile Adan wasn't ready to be physically intimate before marriage. The Love on the Spectrum cast member communicated this to Dani. He said:

In Love on the Spectrum season 3 episode 7, Dani calls Adan to discuss an important aspect of their relationship linked to physical intimacy. During her confessional interview, she told the cameras that she had always wanted a mature adult relationship and was looking forward to physical intimacy as well.
However, Adan's point of view was different as he wasn't comfortable with being physically intimate before marriage. Dani asked Adan:
"I wanted to say that I have always looked forward to a mature adult relationship, and I thought you were okay with that. You said that you were okay with intimacy before marriage."
The Love on the Spectrum season 3 cast member stated that he was comfortable with traveling and going on trips with Dani; however, he was unsure as to whether he was ready for "s*xual intimacy" yet. He explained his perspective regarding the matter:
"I was open to it, I gave it consideration; that's why I was honest with you when I talked to you the other day. And what you said about travelling, I do want to do it with you, just as long as I wasn't pressured into se*ual intimacy."
Concluding their conversation, Dani asked if Adan wanted to continue the relationship or remain friends. She continued:
"Do you want to continue this relationship, or do you want to remain friends?"
Adan realized that their viewpoints were "conflicting." Dani said that they both had to make a "mutual decision" about their connection. They both decided to remain friends as they had different views about what they wanted from a romantic relationship. Dani got emotional. She said:
"I do love you, and I respect your decision, but it really hurts."
