Beast Games player True Tamplin opened up about his participation in the game show via an article published on Forbes on December 20, 2024. Tamplin shares his experience while on the popular Amazon Prime competition show from Mr Beast.

The former participant shared various "financial lessons" from his time at the Beast Games. True Tamplin talked about how money was not the "only currency" at the game show. It included "information" as everyone was exchanging it, and had become the "primary currency."

"Money is typically seen as the most important form of currency. After all, it enables transactions, investments, and fulfilling basic needs. However, during Beast Games, I realized that other non-monetary currencies matter as much, if not more, in certain situations," shared True Tamplin.

Recently, True Tamplin, a former Beast Games participant, opened up about various things, including his experience at the game show. Referring to how one of the prime focuses of the game show is the prize pot, he chimed in about participants' behavior and more.

Tamplin shared that some contestants made "extreme life decisions" to participate in the game show. Fans must already know that the prize pot for the winner is $5 million. Along with that, players can win various monetary prizes during various tasks and challenges.

Talking about how some of the participants had "quit" their jobs to stay in the game, True mentioned:

"Some participants made extreme life decisions for this slim opportunity. After all, $5 million is a lot of money. Some people quit their jobs, risking almost everything, to fully commit to the idea of winning."

Further in his article, Beast Games player talked about how various " currencies " were at play. He stated that "information" had become the "most important currency" during the competition. He also mentioned "social capital" as one of the essentials during the game show.

"I was sharing information to everyone I knew. I was trying to help to make allies because building alliances, knowing who to trust, and leveraging relationships could give you an edge, even when money wasn’t involved. This mirrors real life, where connections often lead to opportunities or information that money can’t buy," shared Tamplin.

Additionally, he talked about how "food" had become a vital part of exchange and a "leverage" among the participants. He saw many contestants exchanging snacks and getting to know other players through that.

Indicating how such exchanges might result in "favors" further on the show, participants were sharing various food items with other contestants.

Beast Games participants referred to "information" and "social capital" as "non-monetary assets" in his article. Further, he talked about how people are "greedy" and how they would "do anything" when it comes to money.
