The show was received very well by the audiences, and it was no surprise that it was renewed for a second season. Fans are eager to know when they will see their favorite show back on the screen and what the plot will be. The first season followed an interesting storyline:

Nobody Wants This was a resounding success, with 10.3 million views during its first few days, and after just two weeks of its release, was renewed for a second season.

The show will have some new faces this time. Filming for season 2 is already underway, with Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, both notable for their work on Girls—taking the helm this time.

The renewal of Nobody Wants This was confirmed by Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, during the Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles. Erin Foster was also present at the occasion and said:

"Creating ‘Nobody Wants’ This will forever be a career highlight for me. The incredible cast, crew, producers, and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed."

Foster will continue serving as an executive producer for Nobody Wants This along with Steven Levitan, Oly Obst, Kristen Bell, Sara Foster, Danielle Stokdyk, and Jeff Morton.

While some crew details are now clear, the exact plot points are still being kept under wraps, but fans can expect the story to pick right up from where it left off.

The second season of Nobody Wants This will also be Konner and Kaplan’s first collaboration since Girls. Konner touched upon it:

It’s a dream to be working on Nobody Wants This. Erin is the rare creator with a crystal clear voice and a genuinely collaborative spirit. I am a true fan of Erin’s show and also feel so lucky to be back in a room with two of my favorites, Bruce Kaplan and [writer] Sarah Heyward fromGirls.”

In the next season, the show will continue to explore some relationship challenges, family dynamics, and personal growth, all while maintaining the witty, quirky humor that made the first season a hit.
