Love is Blind's latest season aired on February 14, 2025, with the first batch of episodes. The first episode, I Have A Husband, featured singles going on multiple blind dates. The social experiment features 32 individuals who have arrived to find their perfect match.

One of the blind dates was between Lauren, 31, who worked in education sales, and Dave (David), 33, who worked in medical device sales. He was emotional when Dave mentioned that he had lived at their family house throughout his childhood and that his dad had sold it recently.

He mentioned about not visiting the house before his dad sold it. Listening to him, Love is Blind star Lauren said:

"Don't be too hard on yourself looking back that as a mistake. There's obviously no right way to grieve that. And you were doing what made the most sense for you."

Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 1: Dave and Lauren open up about their tattoos and talk about regrets and emotional connections

One of the dates featured in the social experiment's first episode was between Dave and Lauren. While talking about the tattoos, Dave mentioned he had three tattoos:

"So two of them are my mom's handwriting. They're both from a card that she wrote me. The first one, it says, "Love always." In cursive. And then I also have one that says, "Proud of you." So I got that on, like, my tricep. And then I have one on my thigh of my, like, family home address. I lived in the same house growing up."

Lauren asked when his parents moved out of it. He responded that his dad had sold the house two years ago. Unaware of his mom's passing, when she asked about her, he mentioned she had passed away. He further revealed when his dad sold the house, he didn't go home.

"Like, say goodbye to the house?" asked Lauren

Love is Blind star Dave agreed and stated that he probably should have.

He mentioned that it was probably the mistake he made.

"It was very hard for me for a little bit to go there, 'cause I was like, "I literally watched my mom die here." Like, this is-- yeah, um..." shared Dave.

Seeing how deeply Dave was attached to his childhood home, she told him not to be "too hard" on himself. She also told him not to consider the incident a "mistake." She consoled him by telling him there was no "right way" to grieve.

After their deep and emotional conversation, Dave mentioned that Lauren was never "low" on his list. However, after that date, he said, "Wow, Okay, Lauren."

In response, Love is Blind star Lauren mentioned that in the last couple of days, Dave had been "pretty high" on her list:

"But today kind of just solidified it. It didn't change."

Listening to Lauren and being on her list quite high up, Dave told her he would try to spend as much time as possible with her. She replied that she felt "the same way" about him. They told each other that it was starting to get "really weird." The male cast member stated that he felt "very overwhelmed."

"I did not think I was gonna come here and feel like this. Oh, it's from, like, movies and stuff that I've watched. I'm just sitting here like, I don't know, I've never really had this," confessed Dave.

Continuing their conversation about tattoos, Love is Blind's Dave told Lauren that if they got married, he would love to get matching tattoos. He mentioned not wanting to end their date and that he had one more date after that date.

Lauren joked that he should cancel that date and have a great night's sleep. Both of them laughed about it and ended their blind date.

Netflix is now streaming Love is Blind Season 8 Episodes 1 to 6.
