Love is Blind season 8 cast member Sara opens up about her relationship with Ben

During the Love is Blind season 8 episode 13, Sara looked back on her relationship with Ben. Despite the two having different values and opinions on certain topics such as faith, religion, and society, the two were willing to make it work. However, at the altar, Sara hesitated to say yes and eventually disclosed she wasn't ready to get married.

Ben understood her point of view regarding this matter and asked if they could continue dating, as getting married at this stage was too early for them. The Love is Blind star felt she didn't want to "continue this cycle" of dating someone she knew things wouldn't work out with. In her confessional interview, she said:

"A breakup is so much easier when something bad happens and then you're just like,' I'm just gonna write them off.' But when Ben asked at the altar to continue dating, I was like I don't want to continue this cycle of hoping and wanting something to work when so very clearly it's not going to."

According to Sara, she was the one willing to have difficult conversations, as Ben wasn't as "curious" to know more about her values and beliefs. Sara told the cameras that it was important for them to discuss those topics regardless of how different their beliefs were.

She concluded by stating if Ben had "really showed priority," the decision at the wedding altar might have been different. The Love Is Blind season 8 cast member said:

"Sometimes I did wonder if it was surface fun carefree love that we had."

The upcoming Love is Blind season 8 reunion episode is set to air on March 9, 2025, exclusively on Netflix.
