“No apology that would fix that“—Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Destiny reveals why she and Sunni weren’t on good terms

Love & Marriage: Huntsville reunion part two was released exclusively on OWN TV on February 8, 2025. In this episode, cast members, including Kimmi Grant, LaTisha Scott, Marsau Scott, Maurice Scott, Melody Holt, Martell Holt, Destiny Payton, and Sunni, reunited to address the conflicts, arguments, and clashes that happened throughout this season.

Cast members Destiny and Sunni weren't on the best terms when Destiny found out Sunni had married her ex, Moses. Sunni, on the other hand, felt Moses owed Destiny an explanation and that he got into a relationship after his breakup with Destiny. However, Sunni did apologize for her "harsh" reaction, to which Destiny responded with;

"It's not going to make any difference when you apologize to me and your behavior didn't change and then decide to go low and even bring my child into it. I have never been in a situation where I didn't know the paternity of my child. There's no apology that would fix that."

Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 15, titled "Tricia Finally Mar-Tells the Truth," was released. The episode synopsis mentions:

"Kimmi and Melody argue over Melody's double standards; Sunni joins the cast on stage to hash out her issues with Destiny; Ken and Tricia set the record straight about her history with Martell."

What happened between Sunni and Destiny on Love & Marriage: Huntsville Reunion Part 2?

In Love & Marriage: Huntsville reunion part 2, Destiny implied that her ex, Moses, and Sunni got into a relationship to take revenge on her. She continued stating that Melody and Sunni had been included in this plan which is why Sunni didn't act surprised when she met Melody at the beginning. Destiny told the show host:

"She's the only person that can get him back on this platform to talk to me."

Melody, on the other hand, felt this accusation didn't make any sense, and she couldn't understand why two people would marry just to have the "opportunity" to talk to Destiny. She said:

"Just to think that somebody chose somebody to marry so that they could come and have the opportunity to talk to you."

The Love & Marriage: Huntsville host clarified that Sunni and Moses decided to become part of the show after they were offered to join. They didn't make a decision based on Destiny's plan to return this season. Sunni stated, before responding to the offer, that she had spoken with Moses after Destiny had implied Sunni broke the girl code by marrying her ex, Moses. Sunni said:

"When I spoke with Moses about the situation, and we had already saw the podcast situation, he wanted to protect me cause he already knew there was going to be slander."

Towards the end of their conversation, Sunni mentioned that she had attempted to clear the air between her Destiny, but she "didn't receive it well." The show host asked her if there was room for forgiveness between them and whether Sunni would apologize for her harsh reaction. Sunni explained she had tried to apologize, but things kept on escalating. Upon hearing this, Destiny called out Sunni for not changing her behavior after her apology.
