The Voice Season 26 will premiere on September 23, 2024, at 8 pm ET on NBC, and will welcome the two new coaches, Snoop Dogg and Michael Buble along with the returning judges Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani. The show will be hosted by its seasoned presenter Carson Daly, who has been hosting the show for the last 26 seasons.
As per the format of the show, the premiere episode starts with blind auditions in which participants perform on the stage, and the judges do not face them. The judges have the right to press the buzzer if they like the participant, making him/her part of their respective teams. If multiple judges press the buzzer for the same performance, they will have to compete to welcome the participant to their team.
During the sneak peek of the premiere of The Voice, Sofronio Vasquez stunned all four coaches, who were vying to welcome him to their team. Reba McEntire urged the singer from the Philipines to join her team as she felt his performance was a whole package. She said:
"I could not hit my button fast enough. Your voice is like butter. It is so easy on the ears. But your soulfulness touched my heart. You've got the whole package."
The Voice coaches go gaga over Sofronio Vasquez
Sofronio Vasquez had all four coaches of The Voice turn their chairs as fast as possible to appreciate the singer's performance, as shown in the sneak peek of the premiere. The Filipino singer performed Mary J. Blige's I'm Goin' Down during the blind audition, and received a standing ovation for his performance. Snoop Dogg was curious to know more about him.
Sofronio Vasquez took the opportunity and introduced himself by saying:
"My name is Sofronio Vasquez, and I am from the Philippines. I'm Italian, so I gotta say it this way..."
Stefani went ahead to call his performance Grammy-worthy and said:
"That was a Grammy performance. It felt like somebody that knows that God gave him the gift, and they're just trying to get on this stage to show everybody."
It will be thrilling to learn of Vasquez's choice in The Voice Season 26.
