Love Is Blind Germany stars Daniel and Hanni were among the three couples who walked down the altar. However, Hanni felt that they hadn't spent enough time tying the knot, leading to a "no" as the answer. Daniel seemed upset but respected Hanni's decision. When the ex-couple came back to the reunion, it appeared that all was good in the hood.
Both the contestants constantly supported each other during the reunion just like they did in the show. Hanni and Daniel were drawn to each other they both loved a good laugh, and their pod dates always appeared like a comic relief.
The couple did not get married in the finale but their amicable bonding was a testament to their honest bond in the show.
During the reunion, Jen and Alina claimed that Hanni was not honest about her feelings towards Daniel, and disrespected him many a time. Hanni denied any such claim and said she did not owe any explanation to anyone. However, she did explain herself to Daniel and said:
"The only thing that made it easier for me, that's you, and you know that. I told you so often. I mean, this feeling of trust, we wouldn't have that I there was no substance there. But it took me a lot of time for me to become the way I am. And that's all thanks to having you at my side. You healed so much in me."
"Not just friends"- Love Is Blind Germany star Daniel opens up about his relationship with Hanni during the reunion
Love Is Blind Germany aired the reunion on January 19, 2025, and the pod squad joined the hosts one last time to look back at their experimental journey. Hanni and Daniel who almost completed the whole experiment but did not get married appeared to be more than friends during the reunion.
The ex-couple kept on supporting each other throughout the reunion when other fellow cast members tried to pull them down. When the hosts asked the ex-Love Is Blind Germany couple about their "current status", Daniel had this to say:
"We are definitely not a couple currently. But we are also not just friends. We get along well. We are there for each other. We help each other out in situations. And that's the most important part."
Love Is Blind Germany star, Daniel further added that because they do not have thousands of cameras watching them, they are enjoying the "freedom" as they explore each other.
