The Voice Season 26 winner, Sofronio Vasquez made history by becoming the first ever Filipino to win the show. After facing multiple rejections, Sofronio finally took home his first-ever win. He represented first-time coach Michael Bublé. Making his debut a rather victorious one, Team Bublé also landed second place, after Shye from his team became the runner-up. Sydney Sterlace made it to the top 3 of this season.

After Sofronio's big win, he reflected upon the advice of Rey Valera, former judge of Tawag ng Tanghalan. It is a Philliphino reality TV singing competition where Softronio took part not once but thrice. Though he couldn't make it to the finale on his first appearance on the show in 2016, the second time in 2017, he entered the semi-finals. The phrase 'Third time's a charm' became true for him when he became a grand finalist on the show in 2019.

Sofronio, the winner of The Voice shared a video on his Instagram account story on Dec 12 where he reshared a clip from @juan.cellable Instagram account and captioned it as,

"Thank you, Lord."

In the clip, Rey Valera was advising the then-contestant, Sofronio,

“You are your best friend. Ikaw ang mentor mo, sarili mo. Ikaw na rin ‘yung cheering squad mo."

Translation: You are your own mentor and cheering squad as well.

He further adds,

At kung hindi ka man ngitian ng Lady Luck ngayon, I’m sure dahil ‘yon sa alam niya na ikaw ang gagawa ng sarili mong swerte at hindi mo siya kailangan,” the veteran singer-songwriter continued. “Because ‘yung ganyang klaseng tao, you will always find your way.”

Translation: (If Lady Luck won’t smile upon you today, I’m sure it’s because she knows that you’ll make your own luck and that you don’t need her. Because being the kind of person that you are, you will always find your way.)

The video also used one of Sofronio Vasquez's final performance songs, "A Million Dreams."

He also shared a couple of victory pictures on his account and wrote,

"believe that you can, and manifest it with your whole heart"

Sofronio also posted a picture with his mentor and coach on The Voice, Michael Bublé. The caption read,

"dreams really do come true 🥹"
