Adam Copeland, who plays Ares, the Greek god of war, in the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians has opened up on some exciting changes that await fans ahead of Season 2.

Copeland hinted that while the show is mostly following the books, there is always space for creative changes and the one major change fans will notice in Season 2 is the introduction of multiple new elements in the show, citing the diner scene in the first season, which wasn't part of the books.

Adapted from the acclaimed book series by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 1 debuted in 2023 and quickly gained popularity among adventure enthusiasts. The series follows a twelve-year-old demigod, Percy, who faces the challenges of being linked to two worlds.

To ensure the series offers a faithful representation, Rick Riordan joined the project as the co-creator with Jonathan E. Steinberg. Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 1 focuses on Percy discovering his unique heritage of being a human and a demigod.

Percy then goes to Camp Half-Blood, where he learns more about being a demigod and his lineage. As the adventure begins, Percy is accused of stealing a master lightning bolt from Zeus, which leads him to a quest to find the torch to prove his innocence.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 1 also featured Percy's friends, with whom he parted ways by the end of the season. Now, in the upcoming Season 2, fans will be seeing them as grown-ups while maintaining their childlike wonder.

As mentioned above, Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 1 tests Percy's friendship with his close friends Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood. While Chase is the daughter of Athena, Underwood is a satyr who helps his friends as a guide and comedic relief.

Together, they confront dangers, including mythical creatures, tough landscapes, and other demigods. Their adventure becomes even more intriguing as they also visit places inspired by Greek mythology. However, the trio isn't free from their personal struggles, especially Percy.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 1 concluded with the three parting ways after summer ends but promises to meet soon. They will be back in Season 2, in which fans will notice a little change in them.
