"Would like to see how Jun-tae behaves": Weak Hero stars on the Netflix K-drama's potential third season

With a new season of Weak Hero, Park Ji-hun’s Yeon Si-eun is now in a new school, fighting new and terrifying bullies. In Weak Hero Class 2, Si-eun has joined Eunjang High after being expelled from his previous school due to the brutal revenge he took for his friend, Ahn Su-ho. It's not just the bullies and fights in this new season, as Si-eun also finds new friends in Choi Min-young’s Seo Jun-tae, Ryeoun’s Park Hu-min, and Lee Min-jae’s Go Hyeon-tak.

While Netflix hasn't shared any news of a season 3, Park Ji-hun and Choi Min-young talked with ScreenRant about what their characters would be like if there were a season 3. Min-young said:

"If there were to be a Weak Hero Class 3, I would like to see how Jun-tae behaves after he's broken out of his shell."

Park Ji-hun and Choi Min-young talk about their character arcs in a new season of Weak Hero

Min-young’s character Jun-tae in Weak Hero Class 2 began to defend himself against the bullies after being inspired by Si-eun, resulting in their friendship in the new season. While talking to ScreenRant, Min-young spoke about how he wants this new Jun-tae to protect his friends and continue to fight against the bullies in season 3.

To add to his previous comment:

"There are a lot of things that he's done for the first time in season 2, so now I want him to find his own way of protecting his friends and really leverage that all-new Jun-tae he's become."

The show’s protagonist, Park Ji-hun, also talked about how he wants his character to go wild if there is a new season, as his character Si-eun has been on the side of justice for 2 seasons. He said:

"I did give next season some thought. Because of how everything kind of ended nicely in season 2, I thought about how Si-eun was always on the side of justice. He always had a strong moral compass, so what if he loses his friends in season 3 because of some things that happen, and he goes rogue? That would be a whole new twist to the story and a whole new narrative."

Even after being introverted and reluctant to make friends, Si-eun ends up being friends with Jun-tae and the others, and together they fight a new gang of bullies called the Union in Weak Hero Class 2.

Min-young also shared that Season 3 depends on the creators and audience, and he might not have a say on it. He said:

"Whether there should be a season 3? I'm in no position to talk about that. It doesn't mean that I don't want it or anything like that. It just means that it's up to the audience and the creators."
