Patrick Schwarzenegger has impressed everyone with his performance as Saxon Ratliff in The White Lotus season 3. His character is one of the highlights of the show, thanks to Saxon’s creepy behavior and awkward comments.
Patrick is the son of legendary actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and hence, many people wondered if he got the role due to his father’s legacy in the industry. He has called now this nepotism debate frustrating, revealing he put in immense hard work to become an actor. Patrick said in an interview with The Sunday Times:
“Of course, it’s frustrating, and you can get boxed in, and you think at that moment, I wish I didn’t have my last name. But that’s a small moment.”

In his interview, Patrick highlighted that while some people think it would have been easy for him to get cast in The White Lotus season 3, that is not the case. The actor said he has worked hard for years in acting classes and auditions to reach where he is:
“I know there are people who’ll say I only got this role because of who my dad is. They’re not seeing that I’ve had 10 years of acting classes, put on school plays every week, worked on my characters for hours on end or the hundreds of rejected auditions I’ve been on.”
Patrick was born to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver in 1993. He started his acting career as a child artist in the 2006 sports comedy film The Benchwarmers and later appeared in Midnight Sun, Warning, and Dear Eleanor.
His television credits include Gen V, American Sports Story, The Terminal List, and The Staircase. In The White Lotus season 3, he plays Saxon Ratliff, the son of a wealthy businessman who travels to Thailand with his dysfunctional family.
Patrick’s nude scenes and his character’s unconformable moments with his siblings have already become a topic of discussion among the audience. Talking about his character in the show, the actor said in his interview:
“This character, from start to finish, is ridiculous and the type of person who absolutely would walk around his room naked without a care in the world. He’s the guy who, whenever he sees a girl at the pool, he’s going to flirt with them whether it’s a mom or a 22-year-old.”
