Peaky Blinders started as a gritty crime drama about a post-World War I gang in Birmingham, England. But over time, it turned into a global phenomenon. Fans couldn’t get enough of the sharp suits, razor caps, and brutal politics of the Shelby family.

Back in 2022, fans thought the story had wrapped up for good with Season 6. Creator Steven Knight had said the show would end with a movie called The Immortal Man. And it made sense; the final season felt like a farewell. But it turns out... not quite.

Originally, the plan was simple: end the series with a bang via a Netflix feature film. And that film, The Immortal Man, is still happening. But now it seems the movie won’t be the last we see of the Shelbys after all.

Steven Knight, the mastermind behind Peaky Blinders, apparently couldn't let go. According to The Sun, Knight

“couldn’t resist coming back to the story, his most famous creation, and he’s been dropping hints he wanted to return to do more.”

Has Season 7 been officially greenlit?

An insider told The Sun, “Filming on season 7 is due to start in September and will air in 2026.” This suggests that the BBC has quietly given the go-ahead.

Oddly, the BBC hasn’t made any public announcements.

“The BBC declined to comment when approached by RadioTimes.com,”

The report states. Netflix, too, is staying quiet.

But the buzz?

It’s very, very loud.

Season 6 left us in the 1930s. But according to reports, the next chapter will jump forward into the 1950s. A whole new era means new challenges, enemies, and maybe... allies?

With time passing, the younger generation will likely step up. Will Tommy’s kids follow in his footsteps? Are we getting a “next-gen Shelby crew”? Fans are already speculating.

Cillian Murphy is confirmed to appear in The Immortal Man. So, he's definitely not done yet.

It’s rumored that Murphy might still play Tommy Shelby in the upcoming season, but in a more subdued, mature role. Again, no official word yet. But come on... could Peaky Blinders really go on without him?

British viewers can catch Season 7 on BBC One, just like the previous seasons.

International fans, don’t worry; Netflix is expected to stream Season 7 worldwide, just like it did with earlier seasons.

Filming starts in September 2025. That means we’ll likely see the new season sometime in 2026. Yes, it’s a wait, but it might happen since we don't have any confirmed news yet.

From the haunting theme song to the smoky pubs and high-stakes betrayal, Peaky Blinders isn’t just a show; it’s a vibe. It has attitude, swagger, and depth.

It blends real history with fictional drama in a way that’s raw and captivating. It’s not just about gangsters; it’s about survival, ambition, and power.

Peaky Blinders was supposed to be over. But like Tommy Shelby himself, it refuses to stay buried. Season 7 may not be official yet, but the signs are all pointing in the right direction. So polish your boots, press your suits, and get ready; the Peaky Blinders are coming back.
