Steven Knight developed Peaky Blinders. It is a British criminal drama series. It is set in post-World War I Birmingham and centers on the Shelby family. They run the Peaky Blinders gang and the series focuses on their illicit activities and power battles. Thomas Shelby, the pivotal character of the narrative, is portrayed by Cillian Murphy.

Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, and Tom Hardy are among the many actors in the production. From 2013 until 2022, it broadcast six seasons total. The Immortal Man is a film in production. This will continue the narrative of the Shelby family and their rise in the criminal world.

It might be available in cinemas prior to its Netflix release. In a recent interview, creator Steven Knight provided an affirmative statement by saying that he wanted the movie's audience to see it collectively on a large screen. The Peaky Blinders film might as well be released in theaters before it becomes available on Netflix. The series' creator Steven Knight asserts this in a recent interview with The Playlist. He states:

“I really want the ‘Peaky’ fans who have been a big part of this to be watching it all together in one building,”

He further said,

“The communication has all been virtual, but I do want this to be in cinemas so that people can sit there together and watch this thing happen.”

He said that the picture, named The Immortal Man, will be released theatrically. This was a surprising decision. Because it is a co-production with Netflix. Knight stated a wish for fans to see the film together in theaters, as the following had mostly communicated online since the show's premiere.

"A fitting end to the first chapter" of the series, which Steven Knight praised as "mind-blowingly good" in its early stages. This has sparked speculation about the show's future.

The film will star returning cast members. These primarily include Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson, and Sophie Rundle. The list also includes newcomers Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth, and Rebecca Ferguson. Knight underlined the value of a shared watching experience for fans. This made the theatrical premiere an exciting occasion for the fans.

The film will ultimately be available on Netflix. However, Knight's choice is to release it in theaters first. This allows viewers to see it in a more conventional cinematic atmosphere. He emphasized his desire for fans to see the film together on the big screen.
