The real reason behind Morgan Freeman wearing gloves in Lioness

Morgan Freeman's character, Edwin Mullins, wears a glove on his left hand in Lioness Season 2. But it isn’t for style, there is a medical reason behind it and the gloves are because of the permanent nerve damage from a car accident in 2008. He has fibromyalgia, which developed after the accident and needs to use a compression glove.

In an interview with People magazine in 2010, Freeman said that after the accident and treatments, his left hand never healed, leaving him unable to move it. To prevent swelling, he has to wear a compression glove on his injured hand to allow blood to circulate.

As a result, he often wears at least one glove; it's not a fashion choice, but rather a necessity to deal with the pain he feels in that hand.
