Why Christopher Walken won’t be streaming Severance, despite starring in it
On Thursday, January 16, during the promotion of season 2 of his new most awaited series Severance, in a live with Andy Cohen, he revealed that he won't be watching the series anytime soon as he prefers to watch shows on DVDs still. Cohen asked him if he had watched all the episodes of Severance.
“Not all of them,” he said before admitting, “I can’t. I don’t have the equipment. If they are good enough they send me DVDs” said the 81-year-old actor
Walken's character Burt is a Lumon employee who is about to retire. His Innie self is seen in a romantic relationship with Irving that ends abruptly after his retirement. While his Outtie self is already blissfully living with another partner.
The actor further said that he doesn't use any streaming platform including Apple TV+ where Severance is streaming. Cohen on the other hand found it interesting and said that he loves him for this. This reflects that the actor lives a simple life and prefers the old-school way of watching over contemporary ones.
Christopher also worked in The Outlaws, a 2021 Netflix series and a crime thriller comedy. He starred as Frank Sheldon, an American con man who is living with his daughter and grandchildren.
