On March 2, 2025, the Oscars, which is the 97th Academy Awards, took place in Hollywood's Dolby Theatre. Among the five honors Anora received was Best Picture. Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, and Wicked each earned two. With this, The Brutalist won three.
The event was hosted by Conan O'Brien. It was aired on ABC and was the first to be streamed on Hulu. The event honored accomplishments in 23 different cinema categories. Adrien Brody won Best Actor at the 2025 Oscars for his work in The Brutalist. This was his second award, following his first in 2003.
