MTV's The Challenge 40 is all set to premiere its show finale on January 1, 2025. The recent episode of the competition show aired on December 18, 2024

The Challenge 40 finalist Tori Deal recently shared her thoughts with another finalist, Johnny Bananas, on his podcast. On the December 21, 2024, episode of The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras Episode 17 With Tori on Death, Taxes, and Bananas, Johnny discussed Jenny's Fortress Bricks task win and the controversy surrounding the task.

"It's just crazy, and again, it's like we've all been there before where we have been kind of we feel like we've been, you know, either rightfully or wrongfully given a win or a loss and it's like dude, sometimes especially if you've been in the show this long, what's done is done and now creating controversy at this point and now calling thing into question, all it's doing is just again, it happened to Derrick with Roasio, now it's happening to Jenny. It's like all you're doing is discrediting a person that f***ing put it all out there."

The Challenge 40: Johnny Bananas shared his thoughts on Jenny's controversial win

The Challenge 40 finalists Johnny Bananas and Tori Deal talked about how the "pressure" of being in the finale felt. They were discussing a location change for the recently released episode of the reality show, which referred to the Philippines.

"I felt so heavy, my muscles were like, I think it's the pressure of knowing that you're right at the end, and then it's also like it took every ounce of energy regardless of what you did in the season, just mentally staying in it that long and then to make a location change, it takes everything out of you," shared Tori.

Further, The Challenge 40 finalist mentioned that before The Final Elimination Task, she believed she would do "everything" she could to fight. She then discussed how she didn't expect to get on a boat and go in the middle of the ocean for the elimination task, and that too at night.

Further on the Johnny Bananas' podcast, he mentioned that he wanted to discuss one of the controversial topics, which was about Jenny.

"There's some controversy right now swirling around the outcome of the Fortress challenge, Okay. Apparently, when they showed it back, Jenny had her top piece and her bottom piece, which seemingly looked like they were on the wrong side. They needed to be flipped around."

He added:

"Cara's now taking this as a way to basically say that she actually didn't lose and potentially should have come in first. My thing is: Okay did production mess up or did they not blow the horn when they shouldn't have, who knows?"

He then mentioned how Cara Maria already had a three-minute penalty. Hence, even if the producers have told Jenny that her puzzle was wrong, she had the time to:

"Take it apart, reassemble it, and still win. So that's more on them than her, and I just feel like the amount now of backlash Jenny has received, okay, is absolutely insane. Like what, the way that fans are coming at her as if she's the one that blew the horn for herself. Okay."

Regarding the situation and the controversy surrounding Jenny and Cara's elimination task, Tori mentioned that she had "mixed emotions" for the "whole thing."

Fans can stream The Challenge 40 Finale episode on MTV on January 1, 2025.
